  • Patent number: 6379802
Abstract: A thermoplastic skin sheet constituted by (a) a thermoplastic polyolefin or elastomer sheet; (b) a primer layer coated on the sheet, the primer being based on a modified polyolefin resin containing 2 mg-equivalent/g or less of a hydroxyl group or a carboxyl group; and (c) a topcoat layer coated on the primer layer. The topcoat layer may be mainly composed of (a) 100 parts by weight of a polycarbonate polyurethane resin having a number-average molecular weight of 8,000 or more and a 100% modulus of 20 kg/cm2 or more, and (b) 0.1-40 parts by weight of a (meth)acrylate-butadiene-styrene resin. The surface of the topcoat layer may be subjected to embossing.

  • Patent number: 5760122
Abstract: A matte paint film includes a synthetic resin component as a paint film forming primary element, and silica particles having an average particles size D.sub.1 in a range of D.sub.1 .ltoreq.2 .mu.m and synthetic resin particles having an average particle size D.sub.2 in a range of 8 m.ltoreq.D.sub.2 .ltoreq.50 .mu.m as a matting agent. The weight proportion Pw of matting agent incorporated per 100 parts by weight of the synthetic resin component is set in a range of 20 parts by weight.ltoreq.Pw.ltoreq.100 parts by weight. The weight ratio Wr (W.sub.1 /W.sub.2) of the weight W.sub.1 of silica particles incorporated in the matting agent to the weight W.sub.2 of synthetic resin particles incorporated in the matting agent is set in a range of 20/80.ltoreq.Wr.ltoreq.70/30, and the thickness t of the paint film is set in a range of 8 .mu.m.ltoreq.t.ltoreq.30 .mu.m. A 60.degree. incident ray L.sub.1 is absorbed and/or irregularly reflected mainly by the silica particles in the film surface. On the other hand, a 85.
