Abstract: Provided are a cartridge and a flavor inhaler with new structures. A flavor inhaler cartridge includes: a raw material portion that is heated and thereby generates aerosols; and a case that accommodates the raw material portion therein. The case includes a first wall, a second wall that faces the first wall, a pair of connecting walls that connect the first wall to the second wall, a first end surface that is provided with a first opening defined by the first wall, the second wall, and the pair of connecting walls, and a second end surface that faces the first end surface portion. The pair of connecting walls include, on surfaces facing inside of the case, a plurality of half-cuts or debosses extending between the first end surface and the second end surface, and are folded along the plurality of half-cuts or debosses.

Abstract: A method of detecting a reference angular position of a rotary body. Two detectable portions are spaced apart from each about the periphery by a predetermined angle in the rotational direction thereof. Two detection signals and produced from two detectors spaced apart from each other by the same angular distance as the detectable portions in the rotational direction of the rotary body in the vicinity of the locus of the detectable portions. It is first detected that at least one of the detectors produces a detection signal and thereafter it is determined that the rotary body takes a reference angular position when both of the detectors produce the detection signals.

Abstract: A capacitive discharge ignition system has first and second bypass elements. The bypass elements are controlled to effect equal charging from the positive and negative portions of the generator alternating power output, and to provide conductive paths for the ignition current outside the generator winding. This lessens current-induced generation of heat in the generator winding.
