  • Publication number: 20050137766
Abstract: An integrated control system includes a main control system (accelerator) controlling a driving system, a main control system (brake) controlling a brake system, and a main control system (steering) controlling a steering system, based on manipulation by a driver, as well as an adviser unit generating and providing information to be used at each main control system based on environmental information around the vehicle or information on a driver. The advisor unit outputs to the main control system (accelerator) sudden acceleration/deceleration risk information having the risk set to “high” when the vehicle is parked in a parking lot, based on information from a navigation device or a surroundings monitoring sensor. The main control system (accelerator) selects a parking state property map based on the sudden acceleration/deceleration risk information having the risk set to “high”, and calculates a target driving force smaller than that corresponding to accelerator pressing by the driver.

  • Patent number: 6390949
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a vehicle automatic transmission, wherein a moment at which the supply of a pressurized fluid to a hydraulic cylinder for engagement of a frictional coupling device to effect an upshift of the transmission during running of the vehicle in a power-off state is initiated is determined by comparing an estimated synchronizing time required for the transmission input speed to reach a synchronizing speed of a higher-gear position to which the transmission is shifted, with a stored predetermined stroking time required for the piston of the hydraulic cylinder to reach its engaging stroke end.

  • Patent number: 6346063
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling an automatic transmission of an automotive vehicle, which is shifted to a selected one of operating positions by an engaging action of a frictional coupling device, wherein an overshoot engagement control device is provided to shift the automatic transmission to the selected one operating position such that a shifting action of the automatic transmission is initiated while an input speed of the automatic transmission is lower than a synchronizing speed of the selected operating position. The overshoot engagement control device is arranged to control an engaging force of the frictional coupling device such that the input speed is first raised above the synchronizing speed and is then lowered down toward the synchronizing speed.

  • Patent number: 6330797
Abstract: A hydraulic circuit which, when applied to a turning excavator having hydraulic actuators for the working arms and the turning excavator body supplied with pressure oil from three pumps, can increase the operation speed of the booms and arms without providing a separate hydraulic pump to improve the work efficiency. During the individual driving, the boom cylinder (CY1) is supplied with a pressure oil from the first and third pumps (P1, P3), the arm cylinder (CY2) from the second and third pumps (P2, P3), the bucket cylinder (CY3) from the first pump (P1), and the turning motor (M) from the third pump (P3). During the simultaneous driving of the boom and arm cylinders (CY1, CY2), the arm is supplied with an operation speed increasing pressure oil from the third pump (P3). When the boom cylinder (CY1) and the turning motor (M) are simultaneously operated, a part of the pressure oil to the turning motor (M) from the third pump (P3) is supplied to the boom cylinder (CY2).

  • Patent number: 6290009
Abstract: When a conventional swivel working vehicle is constructed such that a real part of a swivel body is not extended beyond a traveling device in order to improve an operability at a small site, a balance weight must he significantly increased in weight so as to prevent falling and tumbling of a machine body. In the invention, left and right core metal projections of a crawler are laterally offset from a center line of the crawler and right and left lugs are formed on an outer peripheral surface of the crawler. The lugs are formed to assume the same shape on the right and left sides or laterally symmetrical shapes or occupy the same area on the right and left sides, and to be symmetrically shaped about a center of rotation of the swivel body between the left and right crawlers of the machine body.

  • Patent number: 6266580
Abstract: A deviation between a target value of a quantity of state and an actual value of the quantity of state that is caused to follow the target value or a time-integral of the deviation is filtered. Based on the filtered value, a switching surface &sgr; is calculated. Based on a value of the switching surface &sgr;, a control input value u is outputted. The filter is set through comparison in Bode diagrams between a design model of a control system based on an ordinary sliding mode control method and a characteristic variation model of the control system, and by performing compensation in such a direction as to cancel out the variation. The filtering process makes it possible to properly control the control system having a dead time by the sliding mode control method.
