  • Publication number: 20070000283
Abstract: A structure for adjusting the length of an ornament chain, in which the clamping area for the ornament chain is widened so as to apply a clamping force to the ornament chain without damaging the same. The structure is composed of a hollow casing formed therein with a pair of insertion or come-out openings for inserting the ornament chain, at separated positions, and a resilient member which is accommodated in the casing so as to be prevented from coming off, and which is adapted to be fitted on the ornament chain. The resilient member has a substantially cylindrical shape, defining a longitudinal slot so that end part thereof are separated from each other in order to have resiliency, and the bore being set so that an urging force is effected in a direction in which the outer periphery of the ornament chain is fastened when the ornament chains is inserted in the resilient member.

  • Patent number: 4532682
Abstract: A connection for a jewelry band including a male clasp member and a female clasp member. A resilient detent member in the form of a leaf spring having a long tongue section extending from said male clasp member at a first end thereof and a short tongue section from said long tongue section at a second end thereof. Said short tongue section normally maintains an angular posture but resiliently deflective to lie flatly against said long tongue section. Said female clasp member has at least one peripheral wall forming a hollow body and an end wall to define an insertion chamber in cooperation with said hollow body. Said end wall is formed with a slot extending to permit insertion of said long and short tongue sections while flatly lying against each other and to divide said end wall into an upper wall section and a lower section.

  • Patent number: 4276086
Abstract: A gold alloy classified into 8 to 12 carats contains 30.0 to 50.0% by weight of gold and the remainder is an alloying composition which includes 75.2-77.1% of copper, 13.6 to 16.2% of silver and 6.7 to 11.2% of zinc. The preferred alloys are 9 and 10 carats. The alloys exhibit satisfactory color tone and luster and have improved physical and chemical properties including workability, hardness, chemical resistance and perspiration resistance. The alloys are fabricated into articles which are surface finished by buffing or electrolytic polishing.
