  • Publication number: 20080273998
Abstract: In a spiral wrap of at least a movable scroll, grooves are formed at given intervals to extend from a halfway point of a top face of the spiral wrap through the lateral face of the spiral wrap, substantially perpendicular to the lateral face of the spiral wrap in a direction of formation of the spiral wrap.

  • Publication number: 20040003622
Abstract: A refrigerating cycle system of a vapor compression system has a constitution wherein a first compressor, a first radiator, an expansion mechanism, a heat absorber, and a second compressor connected sequentially and circularly. A CO2 refrigerant is circulated in the sequence of the first compressor→the first radiator→the expansion mechanism→the heat absorber→the second compressor→the first compressor. The rotating drive shaft of the second compressor is connected to the rotating output shaft of the expansion mechanism with a common shaft. Thereby, since the drive force of the second compressor is obtained from the power generated by the refrigerant expanding action of the expansion mechanism, the power of the first compressor consumed for elevating the pressure of the refrigerant to a predetermined pressure can be minimized.

  • Patent number: 5148409
Abstract: An ultrasonic ground speedometer utilizing Doppler effect comprises an ultrasonic transmitter for outputting an ultrasonic wave at a predetermined angle against a road surface, an ultrasonic receiver for receiving a reflected ultrasonic wave caused by reflection of the output ultrasonic wave from a road surface, an arithmetic circuit for deriving ground speed from Doppler shift between the output ultrasonic wave and the reflected ultrasonic wave. The ultrasonic ground speedometer also includes an output frequency control circuit for controlling the output ultrasonic wave frequency in such a manner as to keep the reflected ultrasonic wave frequency to a constant value in response to changes in ground speed. An amplification degree control circuit is also included for controlling the amplitude of the output ultrasonic wave to keep a substantially constant output intensity of the output ultrasonic wave over an output ultrasonic wave frequency range controlled by the output frequency control circuit.

  • Patent number: 5054003
Abstract: An ultrasonic ground speedometer utilizing Doppler effect comprises an ultrasonic transmitter for outputting an ultrasonic wave having a particular wavelength at a predetermined angle against a road surface, an ultrasonic receiver for receiving a reflected ultrasonic wave caused by reflection of the output ultrasonic wave from the road surface, and a signal processor for deriving ground speed from Doppler shift between the output ultrasonic wave and the reflected ultrasonic wave. The particular wavelength is set to a value within a range of 2.6 mm through 3.4 mm to assure the highest possible S/N ratio for the Doppler shift signal obtained from the signal processor.

  • Patent number: 4673340
Abstract: A scroll type fluid compressor with a capacity adjusting mechanism is disclosed. The compressor includes a housing, a first fluid inlet port, a second fluid inlet port and a fluid outlet port. A fixed scroll member is disposed within the housing and has a circular end plate from which a first wrap extends. The end plate of the fixed scroll member partitions the inner chamber of the housing into a front chamber and a rear chamber. The rear chamber is divided into a discharge chamber connected to the fluid outlet port, a first suction chamber connected to the first fluid inlet port and a second suction chamber connected to the second fluid inlet port. An orbiting scroll member is disposed in the front chamber and also has a circular end plate from which a second wrap extends. Both wraps interfit at angular and radial offsets to form a plurality of line contacts to define at least one pair of sealed off fluid pockets.
