  • Patent number: 5081587
Abstract: In a control system for actuating vehicle safety devices, data representing change in the detected vehicle speed is calculated on the basis of the acceleration sensed by a vehicle acceleration sensor. The data is compared with a reference signal depending upon the vehicle running speed to discriminate whether or not the change in the detected vehicle speed has reached a level determined by the reference signal, whereby the occurrence collision can be detected reliably and without erroneous detection over a wide range of vehicle running speeds.

  • Patent number: 5018763
Abstract: In a vehicle safety system having a warning buzzer an inductance element of the buzzer is also used as a coil element for stepping up voltage in a voltage step-up circuit of an energy reservoir in which the electric energy required for actuating an electrically fired actuator of a safety device is stored in a capacitor of large capacity. The voltage step-up circuit is adapted to produce a high output voltage in response to the application of an appropriate ON/OFF signal. In the case where it is detected that an abnormal condition has arisen in the system, a signal having an audible frequency component is applied to the voltage step-up circuit, whereby the buzzer operates to generate a warning sound.

  • Patent number: 4845420
Abstract: In a drive circuit device for an inductive load, the inductive load and a detecting resistor are incorporated in a current supply circuit in series relation to a drive transistor. An operational amplifier is operative in response to detecting voltage fed-back from the detecting resistor, for controlling the drive transistor, in turn, for controlling supply current flowing through the inductive load to a predetermined value. Turning-on and -off of the drive transistor are controlled by a switching element operative in response to a control signal, thereby carrying out current supply to an inductive load and stoppage of the current supply. A feed-back circuit is provided, in which a response element supplies feed-back current to be controlled by the operational amplifier, to the feed-back resistor, in response to the turning-off of the drive transistor. The operational amplifier carries out feed-back control without being saturated, even at the stoppage of the current supply to the inductive load.

  • Patent number: 4838080
Abstract: A fuel injection valve for injecting fuel into an internal combustion engine has a valve element lift sensor for producing an output signal in response to pressure developed by movement of a valve element. A detected valve element lifting signal produced from the valve element lift sensor is shaped into a waveform, and employed to generate a pulse having a pulse duration shorter than a minimum valve element lifting period and longer than the duration of a pulse issued from a waveform shaper after the supply of fuel to the fuel injection valve has been cut off. The generated pulse and the shaped valve element lifting signal are ANDed to remove noise from the output signal of the valve element lift sensor.

  • Patent number: 4531039
Abstract: An automatic valve seat build-up welding apparatus for a Y-type main steam isolation globe valve used in an atomic power station is disclosed which is characterized in that the valve seat can be build-up welded on the spot by the welding torch introduced into the valve box with the welding operation being carried out remotely from the spot and viewed by an image sensor positioned near the welding torch so that the exposure of an operator to a radioactive environment is prevented.

  • Patent number: 4476832
Abstract: In a timing control device of a fuel injection pump which is so arranged that the fuel injection timing is adjusted in accordance with the duty ratio of a driving pulse signal applied to a timing valve, the frequency of the driving pulse signal is controlled in response to data showing the rotational speed of the fuel injection pump in such a way that the resonating phenomenon does not occur whereby the timer can be actuated smoothly without resonation of the timer.

  • Patent number: 4114323
Abstract: A device for automatically lapping a wedge-shaped gate valve seat has a main frame including a flange disposed on its upper end portion and a guiding unit disposed on its lower portion. With the flange disposed upon a valve body of the gate valve, either of the valve seats is opposed to a lapping plate rotatably disposed within the guiding unit. The plate intimately contacts the valve seat through the operation of a fluid cylinder and laps it while simultaneously rotating and revolving. Devices for supplying a lapping agent, wiping it and sensing the state of the lapped seat are disposed within the guiding unit and are movable to their operating position. The seat can also be observed through a periscopic observation glass extending through the main frame.

  • Patent number: 4007561
Abstract: The disclosed device comprises a supporting disc, a sleeve centrally pendent from the disc, a hollow driven shaft rotatably and axially slidably extending through the disc and sleeve, and a lapping disc fixed to that end of the shaft extending from the sleeve. With the supporting disc disposed upon a valve body including a valve seat to be lapped, the lapping disc can contact the valve seat to fit it during the rotation of the shaft. With the lapping disc raised from the lapped valve seat, a wiper on the disc is actuated to wipe the latter. The seat can be observed through a periscope type observation glass extending through the hollow shaft.
