  • Publication number: 20040080720
Abstract: A projector and an aspherical mirror are arranged below a top of a desk. Lights outputted from the projector are reflected on the mirror and projected on a screen in front of the desk. The reflected lights by the mirror transmit a transparent plate arranged in a part of the top of the desk. The reflected lights can be adjusted to pass in front of the desk. The projector is movable to be contained directly under the desk. The desk is provided with casters, therefore distance between the desk and the screen is adjusted to thereby enlarge the size of a projected picture on the screen.

  • Patent number: 5649042
Abstract: A pre-connectorized loose tube cable protects the optical fibers as the fibers are being routed from the end of an outer sheath to the fiber distribution shelf. The pre-connectorized loose tube cable has a plurality of flexible tubes which are connected to a respective plurality of buffer tubes. The flexible tubes are securely attached to the ends of the buffer tubes and to the pre-connectorized loose tube cable by a capping epoxy and by heat shrinks. The flexible tube has a wall thickness which is greater than the minimum bend radius for the fibers. With such a wall thickness, the fibers are not bent past their minimum bend radius, and thus do not break, even if the flexible tube is bent up to an angle of one hundred eighty degrees.

  • Patent number: 5625737
Abstract: A holder for a plurality of fibers has a top wall, a bottom wall, and first and second side walls. The top wall is preferably releasably hinged to one of the two side walls so that the plurality of fibers may be contained within the holder. The fibers are maintained in a certain order within the holder by selecting the spacing between the two side walls to be greater than the outer diameter of the cables but less than twice the outer diameter of the cables. In this manner, two adjacent fibers cannot switch places with each other within the holder. The holder may have one or more intermediate walls positioned between the two side walls to divide the plurality of fibers into two or more groups. By maintaining the fibers in a fixed certain order, the fibers cannot become intertwined with each other and the chance that the fibers become bent is reduced. Since the chance that the fibers become bent is reduced, the risk of fiber breakage or signal loss is also reduced.

  • Patent number: 5133615
Abstract: A ticket issuing machine having a stocker for containing a continuous form, a paper carrier device for carrying the continuous form supplied from the stocker to an inlet of a carrier line, a paper separating device for separating the continuous form at a score thereof in the carrier line, and a printing/recording device for printing or recording data on the continuous form. The paper separating device includes a blade retained so as to be movable toward and away from a score formed in the continuous form, which blade has a rounded bursting portion adapted to face the score, and a blade driving mechanism for driving the blade so as to bring the blade into abutment against the score for separation of the continuous form at the score. Accordingly, the continuous form can be reliably separated at the score with a small force.
