  • Patent number: 10125483
Abstract: A sanitary washing device according to an embodiment includes a toilet seat, a main part, and a radio wave sensor. The toilet seat is provided on a toilet. The toilet seat is pivotally supported by the main part. When the toilet seat is closed, the user in front of the main part is detected by the radio wave sensor in a first region, and in a second region higher than the first region. When the toilet seat is open, the user in front of the main part is not detected in the first region by the radio wave sensor, but the user in front of the main part is detected in the second region by the radio wave sensor. The position of the radio wave sensor is not changed between the state in which the toilet seat is open and the state in which the toilet seat is closed.

  • Publication number: 20170275863
Abstract: A sanitary device includes a wet area device includes a radio wave sensor, a control section and a controlled section. The radio wave sensor is configured to output a sensing signal concerning a water flow. The control section is configured to determine a state of the water flow based on phase information of the sensing signal and to output a control signal based on a determination result. The controlled section is configured to be controlled based on the control signal.

  • Publication number: 20170231442
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a toilet seat device includes a toilet seat, and a Doppler sensor using radio waves. An opened state of the toilet seat is sensed when approach of a user to the toilet seat is sensed based on a sensing signal outputted by the Doppler sensor. It is regarded that use is in progress for urination by the user when the toilet seat is in the opened state. In a state of being regarded that use is in progress for urination, a post-use operation is performed after sensing leaving of the user from the toilet seat based on the sensing signal.

  • Publication number: 20170095125
Abstract: A toilet device includes a toilet seat device, a radio wave sensor, and a controller. The toilet seat device is provided on a toilet bowl. The controller is configured to operate the toilet seat device based on a signal outputted from the radio wave sensor. The radio wave sensor is being operable for detecting presence of a human body in a first area including front of the toilet seat device, detecting motion of a human body in a second area including the front of the toilet seat device and a region outside the first area, and determining sensing of the human body based on detection result of the motion of the human body and detection result of the presence of the human body.

  • Patent number: 8171578
Abstract: There is provided a water discharge system. A water discharge system includes a water discharge portion; a sensor unit which acquires movement information about an object based on a radiated electric wave, and outputs a detecting signal; and a control unit which controls water discharge of the water discharge portion based on the detecting signal. When it is detected that the object is decelerated to a first threshold velocity or less, the control unit controls the water discharge portion to start the water discharge.
