    Abstract: A waterproof slide fastener where first and second through-holes are drilled in a tape side edge portion of a waterproof tape at specific intervals from one another, and first and second halves of a fastener element are integrally connected to each other through first through-holes. A stopper includes a body portion and an extension portion extending from the body portion. First and second halves of the stopper straddle a pair of waterproof tapes and are integrally connected to each other through second through-holes. According to the waterproof slide fastener, a manufacturing step thereof can be simplified, and it is possible to effectively prevent water from entering the waterproof slide fastener even if it receives a lateral pulling force.

A plurality of fine fixing spaces is disposed on at least one surface of the fastener element which is colored. Accordingly, when a slide fastener is colored through an inkjet method, ink droplets ejected to the fastener element may be received by a plurality of fixing spaces and stably fixed onto a surface of the element. Consequently, a desired pattern or color can be continuously given to a fastener tape or the fastener element, and the contour of the pattern or color can be formed clearly and neatly.

    Abstract: This waterproof slide fastener (1, 2, 3, 4) is configured so that first and second through-holes (14a, 14b) are formed at specific intervals in tape side edges of waterproof tapes (11), and so that first and second halves (15, 16) of fastener elements (12) are connected and integrated together through the first through-holes (14a). A stopper (20, 30, 40, 50, 60) has a body section (21, 31, 41, 51, 61) and an extension section (22, 32, 42, 52, 62) which extends from the body section (21, 31, 41, 51, 61). First and second halves (23, 24) of the stopper (20, 30, 40, 50, 60) are disposed so as to straddle the pair of waterproof tapes (11) and are connected and integrated together through the second through-holes (14b). As a result of this configuration, the manufacturing step of the waterproof slide fastener (1, 2, 3, 4) is simplified, and water is prevented from entering even if the slide fastener (1, 2, 3, 4) is subjected to a lateral pulling force.
