  • Patent number: 5557908
Abstract: A coin processing machine comprises a rotatable disk receiving deposited coins and feeding out the received coins to a coin sorting passage by a centrifugal force produced by rotation thereof. The coin sorting passage has a pair of guide members. The denomination of coins to be processed is selected, and the coins which are fed out to the coin sorting passage are processed in accordance with the denomination selected. The coin processing machine further comprises data storage of data concerning the denomination of coins to be processed. The coin data is input into the data storage. A controller reads out the coin data from the data storage in accordance with the denomination selected so as to control the coin processing.

  • Patent number: 5540031
Abstract: A coin stacker for stacking coins to be wrapped includes a pair of stacking blocks each being movable relative to the other perpendicular to a vertical plane including the center line of a coin sorting passage for passing coins of a predetermined denomination therethrough. The first stacking block includes a first inner wall section lying at an angle X to the direction in which the coin sorting passage extends and a second inner wall section lying at an angle -X to the vertical plane including the center line of the coin sorting passage. The second inner wall section is higher than the first inner wall section in the direction in which the coins are stacked. The second stacking block includes a first inner wall section and a second inner wall section.

  • Patent number: 5487252
Abstract: A coin wrapping machine includes a coin stacking device for stacking coins. A coin support post receives the stacked coins at a post waiting position immediately below the coin stacking device and supports them on a upper surface thereof. A coin wrapping device includes a plurality of wrapping rollers for winding a wrapping film around the stacked coins and produces a wrapped coin roll. A support post moving mechanism moves the coin support post between the post waiting position, a post wrapping position where the supported coins can be wrapped by the coin wrapping device, and a post retracted position where the coin support post is retracted from between the wrapping rollers. A mode selector selects a counting mode which causes the coin wrapping machine to only count coins or a wrapping mode which causes it to count and wrap coins.

  • Patent number: 4800997
Abstract: The width of a coin passageway in a coin handling machine is varied in accordance with the type of coins to be handled. The coin passageway comprises a pivotable rail extending from a guide member and pivotably mounted adjacent to the guide member, and a slide rail formed integrally on a slide bar. The slide bar is slidably inserted into the pivotable rail. A guide roller is formed on the end of the slide bar and engaged with a slide guide so that the sliding movement of the slide bar changes the guide roller from one position to another position and the pivotable rail is pivoted. A passageway width setting cam has a cam face which is adapted to act on the slide rail to move it translationally with the pivotable rail through the bar guide.
