  • Patent number: 10431934
Abstract: A connector includes signal contacts and predetermined contacts maintained at predetermined voltage levels. Each contact has a horizontal portion, an intersecting portion extending along a direction intersecting with the horizontal portion and a coupling portion coupling the horizontal portion and the intersecting portion to each other. The contacts include a first contact group made up of the two predetermined contacts and one differential pair of the two signal contacts. In the first contact group, a size of the coupling portion of each of the predetermined contacts in the pitch direction is larger than another size of the coupling portion of each of the signal contacts in the pitch direction, and a size of the intersecting portion of each of the predetermined contacts in the pitch direction is larger than another size of the intersecting portion of each of the signal contacts in the pitch direction.

  • Patent number: 7690648
Abstract: A sheet aligning device includes first and second aligning plates disposed on opposite lateral sides of the feeder board, the first and second aligning plates being capable of being reciprocatingly moved in a direction orthogonal to a sheet conveying direction and each having a sheet abutting surface parallel to the sheet conveying direction, an input member for inputting a sheet width, and a controller for controlling the first and second aligning plates so that the first aligning plate is moved, based on the inputted sheet width, to allow the sheet abutting surface thereof to be brought into abutment with a first lateral side of each sheet, thereby laterally aligning the sheet, and the second aligning plate is moved, based on the inputted sheet width, to allow a second lateral side of each sheet close to the second aligning plate to pass through a sheet-lateral-side passing zone on the second aligning plate.

  • Publication number: 20070176355
Abstract: An overlap detection apparatus mounted to a printing press includes a sheet detection sensor for detecting whether a portion of the sheets passing a given position is a non-overlapping portion or an overlapping portion; a signal output section for outputting an overlapping signal on the basis of the detected results of the sheet detection sensor, in which the overlapping signal takes a first form for the overlapping portion and takes a second form for the non-overlapping portion; and a determination section for determining that the sheets of paper are being correctly conveyed while each being displaced by a given amount from an upstream sheet of paper in the conveying direction and overlapping the same when a portion of the overlapping signal taking the first form is equal to a given reference portion, and determines that the sheets of paper are not being correctly conveyed when the portion of the overlapping signal taking the first form is not equal to the given reference portion.

  • Patent number: 7153166
Abstract: A connector is capable of selectively connecting different types of cards. The connector has a first connector portion having a first contact for connection to a first card, and a second connector portion having a second contact for connection to a second card. The first contact and the first card are connected together in a fitting/removal direction, while, the second contact and the second card are connected together in a direction crossing the fitting/removal direction. When the first contact and the first card are connected together, the second contact is prevented from contacting the first card. When the second contact and the second card are connected together, the first contact is prevented from contacting the second card.

  • Patent number: 7107903
Abstract: There is provided a sheet-fed printing press that is capable of rapidly performing printing preparatory work for more secured double sheet detection. A double-sheet-detector control part judges whether an ultrasonic double sheet detector outputs double sheet detected signal during test printing or during feeding a first printing sheet of successively fed printing sheets in large quantity or successive printing. Where double sheet detected signal was output, it is judged that the detection made by the ultrasonic double sheet detector is erroneous so that the double-sheet-detector control part switches to a photoelectric double sheet detector to be employed as a double sheet detector for use in large quantity or successive printing.
