  • Patent number: 9931180
Abstract: A dental powder/liquid material-containing preparation accommodation bag, which suppresses entrainment of air in mixing a powder material and a liquid material for dispensing, is provided. A powder material 8 is accommodated in a powder material accommodation chamber 3 of a bag body 2, while a liquid material 9 dissolving the powder material 8 and changing into a pasty form, in cooperation with the powder material 8 is accommodated in a liquid material accommodation chamber 4 partitioned from the powder material accommodation chamber 3 by a weakened section 7. The weakened section 7 is ruptured by applying a pressing force to the bag body 2. As a result, the powder material accommodation chamber 3 and the liquid material accommodation chamber 4 communicate, to feed the liquid material accommodated in the liquid material accommodation chamber 4 into the powder material accommodation chamber 3.

  • Patent number: 7906565
Abstract: A mucosal adjustment material comprising a combination of a powdery material (a) and a liquid material (b), characterized especially in that a noncrosslinked (meth)acrylic polymer powder having a Tg in the range of 0-60° C., e.g., polybutyl methacrylate, is used as the powdery material and a liquid polymer which has a mass-average molecular weight of 1,000-10,000 and in which the content of oligomers having a molecular weight of 500 or lower is 10 mass % or lower is used as the liquid material. Such powdery material and liquid material are kneaded together to prepare a paste, which is applied to a denture base and used as a temporary relining material. This mucosal adjustment material in a paste form is reduced in the amount of ingredients eluted from the material during use in the mouth. In an ordinary use period, the relining material retains its initial flexibility and does not deteriorate the denture base.

  • Patent number: 7056961
Abstract: An adhesive composition for a denture base relining material which comprises an organic solvent containing no halogen atoms such as ethyl acetate, ethyl formate or acetone, a polymer such as a copolymer of methyl methacrylate and ethyl methacrylate, and a radical polymerizable monomer such as tetramethylolmethane tetramethacrylate; and a curable composition which comprises a radical polymerizable monomer, an organic peroxide such as benzoyl peroxide, a tertiary amine compound such as diethyl-p-toluidine or dipropyl-p-toluidine, and a hydroxycarboxylic acid such as malic acid or citric acid. The adhesive composition for a denture base relining material does not contain a halogen-atom-containing organic solvent whose harmful effect has been pointed out. Further, the composition has satisfactory adhesive properties and good operability and causes no degradation in the appearance of a denture base even if it sticks to an area on the surface of the denture base other than a contact area.

  • Patent number: 6866742
Abstract: An adhesive for silicone rubber lining materials, for adhering a silicone rubber lining material and a (meth)acrylic resin denture base together, comprising (a) 100 parts by weight of an organic solvent, (b) 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of a (meth)acrylic polymer modified with a siloxane having a functional group reactive in the hydrosilylation reaction; and (c) 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of a polymer of a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester represented by the following formula, CH2?C(X)—COOR, wherein X is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and R is an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms. This adhesive adheres the silicone rubber lining material and the (meth)acrylic resin denture base together very strongly. The adhering force is favorably maintained not only in the initial period but also for extended periods of time, offering excellent durability of adhesion. The initial adhering force and the durability of adhesion are also exhibited even by using a halogen-free organic solvent.
