  • Publication number: 20230311194
Abstract: The apparatus for producing a branch structure has: a die 10 having a spherical shape, and having a long diameter A1 and a short diameter B1 that is shorter than the long diameter A1; and an extraction jig 20 that can be connected to the die 10. At a time of removal, by the extraction jig 20 connected to the die 10, of the die 10 having been inserted into a pipe 30 in which a flanged portion 32 is to be formed, first flanging is performed by the die on a pilot hole 31 that is formed at a branch portion formation position in the pipe 30 and that runs radially through a body of the pipe 30, and then the extraction jig 20 causes the removed die 10 to rotate by a predetermined angle about a central axis, whereupon second flanging is performed on the pilot hole 31, from outside the pipe 30, by the rotated die 10.

  • Patent number: 8677090
Abstract: The object is to achieve a disaster recovery configuration in a short period of time. In a first storage apparatus 1P, a child-generation volume 3PB is created using a snapshot from a parent volume 3PA, and a grandchild-generation volume 3PC is created using a snapshot from the child-generation volume 3PB. Similarly, in a second storage apparatus 1S as well, a child-generation volume 3SB is created using a snapshot from a parent volume 3SA, and a grandchild-generation volume 3SC is created using a snapshot from the child-generation volume 3SB. The parent volumes form a normal remote copy pair. The child-generation volumes and the grandchild-generation volumes form virtual remote copy pairs without implementing an initial copy.

  • Patent number: 7600799
Abstract: A console box assembly is configured such that a box body (3) within a console box (2) is divided into a potential drop away part (15), which is located in proximity to a proximity part (9), and a fixed installation part (16), which is a unit of the box body (3) other than the potential drop away part (15), such that, under normal circumstances, the fixed installation part (16) and the potential drop away part (15) are combined in a unified manner, whereas, in an emergency, the potential drop away part (15), which is in contact with the proximity part (9), is capable of separating from the fixed installation part (16).

  • Patent number: 7451284
Abstract: The invention provides a storage system which can estimate a necessary capacity at the time of acquiring a snap shot copy without actually sampling the snap shot copy, and a control method of the same. In a storage system, a disk control unit monitors a write instruction from a host machine for a fixed period, and calculates a capacity necessary at the time of a snap shot, on the basis of the monitored information for the fixed period, in the case of receiving an instruction of calculating the capacity necessary at the time of acquiring the snap shot which makes it possible to refer to the data at a certain time point within a disk unit.

  • Patent number: 7356623
Abstract: For using a plurality of files contained in one logical device with a plurality of processing systems, sharing of a data storage unit among the plurality of processing systems is realized without need for a host processing system to check use states of the files in a server storage unit. Information concerning extent (extent range) of an input/output processing request issued by a host processor is stored in a control memory incorporated in a control unit for allowing the control unit to make decision as to overlap of the extents of the input/output processings to thereby effectuate exclusive control on an extent-by-extent basis.
