  • Patent number: 7876297
Abstract: An organic EL drive circuit and an organic EL display device is capable of preventing sticking of a display screen of the organic EL panel due to reduction of an output current of a relatively high withstand voltage transistor of a D/A converter circuit. In particular, an analog converted current is obtained at a predetermined output terminal of a D/A converter by connecting a plurality of series-connected relatively high withstand voltage transistors between an output side of the D/A converter constructed with a current mirror circuit and an output terminal of the D/A converter and using low withstand voltage transistors as output side transistors of the D/A converter. Therefore, the output side transistors of the D/A converter can be replaced by low withstand voltage transistors similar to the input side transistors, so that the area occupied by the D/A converter can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 7586469
Abstract: A current inputted from a first input terminal and a reference current generated by an internal reference current generator circuit, which are in phase, are inputted to a reference current selector circuit by which either the inputted current or the reference current is selected. The selected current is temporarily phase-inverted by a current inverter circuit and drives a current mirror circuit of a current distributor circuit (or a reference current regulator circuit) for duplicating the reference current and distributing them. Currents, each of which is in phase with the reference current or the inputted current and has same current value as that of the reference current or the inputted current, can be generated in the output side transistors of the current mirror circuit.

  • Patent number: 7456767
Abstract: A D/A converter circuit includes a first current mirror circuit and a second current mirror circuit. The first current mirror circuit has a plurality of output side transistors provided correspondingly to digits of data to be converted and generates en analog current by obtaining, in at least one of the output side transistors, a current corresponding to the weight of the digit of the data being converted. The second current mirror circuit is connected on an upstream or downstream side of the output side transistors and corresponding to a lower digit of the data. An analog current is generated with the second current mirror circuit by obtaining a current corresponding to a weight of a digit that is less than 1.

  • Patent number: 7446737
Abstract: The output current from respective output terminals of a drive circuit (driver IC) of an organic EL display panel to respective column pins or data lines is sequentially selected by sequentially scanning a plurality of switch circuits by a switch scan circuit. The resultant output currents are converted into voltage values by resistors selected by a selector. Further, the converted voltage values sequentially generated according to the scanning of the switch scan circuit are outputted externally of the IC.

  • Patent number: 7400097
Abstract: A driver IC (4) and a current driver circuit (40) are shared by a first organic EL panel (2) and a second organic EL panel (3). Therefore, not like conventional cases, the current driving circuit (40) on a side not selected is not necessarily in a standby state, and power consumption can be reduced. In a case where the first and second organic EL panels are passive matrix type, a first diode is provided between each column line of the first and the second organic EL panels and corresponding each terminal pin so as to prevent a reverse flow.

  • Publication number: 20070195022
Abstract: [Problem]To provide an organic EL display device which is suitable to minimize a size thereof and is capable of preventing erroneous light emission and reducing power consumption when a display is switched from one of a first and second organic EL display panels to the other. To provide an organic EL display device capable of preventing erroneous light emission with which display luminance in black level is pushed up to that in gray level. [Means for Solving the Problem]In the first invention, the current drive circuit having output pins common for the first and second organic EL panels is provided. Therefore, there is no need of providing current drive circuits for the respective first and second organic EL panels. Consequently, it is unnecessary to make the organic EL panel, which is not selected, standby state, so that it is possible to reduce power consumption correspondingly.

  • Patent number: 7243311
Abstract: A technology for promoting distribution of IPs which constitute part of an integrated circuit is provided. An LSI maker concludes a contract for business alliance with an IP provider, acquires data on IPs from the IP provider, conducts layout, wiring, and verification of the acquired IPs, registers verified IPs into a library, and presents the same to a set maker. When the set maker orders for manufacturing of an LSI to the LSI maker, the LSI maker designs the logic of the integrated circuit, conducts layout, wiring, and timing simulation, and have evaluations from the set maker. Then, the LSI maker manufactures LSIs, delivers the same to the set maker, and receives the payment. The LSI maker calculates license fees, and pays them to the IP provider.
