Patent number: 8934651Abstract: A sound image localization device is provided, by which a user can easily adapt out-of-head sound image localization to oneself. A filter is configured to perform, for an input signal(s), filtering using a filter coefficient output from a parametric HRTF generator and generate an output signal(s) for the headphone. A user adjuster is capable of invalidating a notch N2 of a parametric HRTF. When the notch N2 is invalidated, a parametric HRTF without the notch N2 is generated in the filter.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 2012Date of Patent: January 13, 2015Assignee: Panasonic Intellectual Property Management Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yukinobu Tokoro, Masanori Harui

Publication number: 20060077802Abstract: In an optical disk device, an output terminal is connected to an optical pickup, and a preceding sub-beam returning light signal which is electrical signal obtained by converting returning light of a sub-beam preceding an main beam is output through the output terminal. A defect period detection circuit detects a defect period during which a beam is passing through a defective portion on an optical disk based on the preceding sub-beam returning light signal from the output terminal. A servo hold circuit holds tracking servo during the detected defect period. Therefore, even when an amplitude of an RF signal is quickly attenuated during the defect period, the defect period is detected at an early stage of the attenuation, thereby suppressing a change in an amplitude of a tracking error signal to a small level.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 15, 2005Publication date: April 13, 2006Inventors: Hiroshi Koshida, Masanori Harui, Yasuo Nakata, Yoshimitsu Saka, Koju Konno, Masamichi Katada

Patent number: 6934227Abstract: To increase the vibration resistance of an optical disk device with respect to vibrations in the focus direction. More specifically, an optical disk device is provided with a multiplication means for generating a focus vibration component FC from the focus error signal FE, a multiplication means for generating a tracking vibration component TC from the tracking error signal TE, an adder for adding the focus vibration components FC and TC, and a low-pass filter for extracting the vibration component VC from the added results. Thus, the vibration component VC is extracted considering not only vibrations in the tracking direction but also vibrations in the focus direction, so that vibrations acting on the device can be more accurately detected, and vibration resistance is increased.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2002Date of Patent: August 23, 2005Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yasuo Nakata, Masanori Harui

Patent number: 6654321Abstract: In a method of the present invention for controlling stepping motor, the stepping motor driving current is increased or reduced at a fixed inclination in proportion to the time to control the stepping motor effectively, and, a stepping motor driving current pattern is changed by ¼ cycle or more to synchronize the state of excitation between the stepping motor driving means and the stepping motor to control the pick-up very accurately. In addition, the disk apparatus of the present invention, which uses a stepping motor is provided with a pulse rate pattern variable means, a pulse rate change proportion measuring means, and a driving voltage variable means, and when the pulse rate and the pulse rate change proportion are low, the driving voltage amplitude is lowered to reduce surplus torque generation in the stepping motor.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2001Date of Patent: November 25, 2003Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takanori Okada, Shuichi Yoshida, Masaharu Imura, Kiyoshi Masaki, Kazuhiro Mihara, Tsutomu Kai, Noritaka Akagi, Masanori Harui, Kazuhiko Kouno

Publication number: 20030012096Abstract: A relative traveling speed detector receives a focus error signal and detects a traveling speed of a pickup relative to a disk. A drive mode determining unit determines a drive mode of the pickup according to the detected relative traveling speed. A drive output generating means generates a focus drive signal for driving the pickup according to the drive mode. The disk drive device is thus capable of reducing the time required to restore a focus servo operation.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 16, 2002Publication date: January 16, 2003Applicant: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Nakayuki Kitaoka, Yasuo Nakata, Masanori Harui
