Patent number: 5010923Abstract: A structure of an electromagnetic valve for opening and closing a passage of a fluid flow which is applicable to a air suspension system of a vehicle. The electromagnetic valve includes a plunger linked with an armature, a first valve attached to the plunger for defining a first chamber and a second chamber in a body of the electromagnetic valve, together with a valve seating member installed within the body, a second valve attached to the plunger for opening and closing the fluid flow passage opened to the first chamber, and a spring for biasing the plunger in an open direction of the first valve and second valve, a second fluid flow passage being opened to the first chamber for introducing the fluid from the first fluid flow passage, a fluid pressure in the fluid passage being introduced to the second chamber via another passage, and an effective pressure applied area of the first valve (A2) being substantially equal to that (A1) of the second valve.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 1987Date of Patent: April 30, 1991Assignee: Atsugi Motor Parts Company, LimitedInventors: Masanori Kouda, Minoru Suzuki, Tetsuya Okamura, Toshihisa Tobisawa

Patent number: 4939654Abstract: A steering behavior dependent control system for controlling vehicular driving characteristics performs one or more control operations, such as anti-rolling suspension control, power assist control in a power steering system, rear wheel steering angle control in a four wheel steering system and so forth. The control system includes a steering angle sensor for monitoring steering angular displacement and produces a steering angle indicative signal. The control system is also provided a steering neutral position detector which detects steering at approximately a neutral position to produce an assumed steering neutral position indicative signal. A center value of a steering neutral range is projected on the basis of the steering angle indicative signal and the assumed steering neutral position indicative signal. Steering angle dependent control is thus performed by comparing the steering angle indicative signal value with the aforementioned center value to derive a magnitude of steering angular displacement.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 1988Date of Patent: July 3, 1990Assignees: Nissan Motor Company, Limited, Atsugi Motor Parts Company, LimitedInventors: Masanori Kouda, Tomoyoshi Sekiguchi, Yukio Ikeda, Minoru Taniguchi, Yasuhiro Shiraishi, Junkichi Konishi

Patent number: 4838563Abstract: A mounting structure of a vehicle height sensor employs a reference height indicative marking put on a sensor body to be rigidly fixed onto a vehicle body, which marking represents a position of a movable sensor component corresponding to a predetermined vehicular height indicative signal level. On the other hand, a target height indicative marking is put on the vehicle body. Alignment of the vehicle height sensor can be adjusted with reference to the reference height indicative marking and the target height indicative marking. Alignment of the vehicle height sensor is achieved by aligning the reference height indicative marking to the target height indicative marking.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 1988Date of Patent: June 13, 1989Assignees: Nissan Motor Company, Limited, Atsugi Motor Parts Company, LimitedInventors: Junkichi Konishi, Kenichi Tsukada, Tomoyoshi Sekiguchi, Masanori Kouda, Minoru Suzuki

Patent number: 4826205Abstract: An anti-squat suspension control system includes an anti-squat control disabling means for disabling anti-squat control for a period while an engine idling condition detector switch is held closed or a given period after the engine idling condition detector switch is switched from closed position to open position. The system also includes fail detector means for monitoring operation of the engine idling condition detector switch to detect failure of the switch. When the failure of the engine idling condition detector switch is detected, the anti-squat disabling means is disabled.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 1988Date of Patent: May 2, 1989Assignees: Atsugi Motor Parts Company, Limited, Nissan Motor Company, LimitedInventors: Masanori Kouda, Tomoyoshi Sekiguchi, Yukio Ikeda, Minoru Taniguchi, Yasuhiro Shiraishi, Junkichi Konishi

Patent number: 4214643Abstract: An automotive vehicle power steering system including a control valve mechanism having a reduced length longitudinally of the steering wheel shaft. An annular collar is fitted over the outer periphery of the rotor, over the end of the pin which connects the rotor and the torsion bar so as to permit the seal ring for providing proper oil sealability between the housing and the rotor to be arranged much closer to the pin. Another annular collar is also fitted over the outer periphery of the rotor so as to overlie the outer periphery of the thrust bearing disposed between the rotor and the housing so as to permit the seal ring for providing proper oil sealability between the rotor and the housing to be arranged much closer to the thrust bearing. Additionally, the stub shaft has a sleeve extending inwardly a distance sufficient to carry a radial bearing for maintaining the stub shaft concentric with respect to the rotor.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 1978Date of Patent: July 29, 1980Assignee: Atsugi Motor Parts Co.Inventors: Shogo Yamanaka, Masanori Kouda

Patent number: 4186652Abstract: A servo valve for a power steering booster comprises a power piston and cylinder assembly including a power piston reciprocatively movable therewithin and a spool assembly including a hollow spool for controlling selective supply and discharge of hydraulic pressures onto and from both sides of the power piston, a pair of reaction pistons slidably fitted within ends of the hollow spool to form a reaction hydraulic chamber therewithin, a reaction spring interposed between the reaction pistons, cover plates closing the ends of the hollow spool, through which a steering input transmission shaft passes, and reaction support pins of bearing rollers made with a high dimensional accuracy held in guide holes formed in the cover plates between the respective reaction pistons and partitions located at ends of a housing slidably accommodating the spool assembly and having ports for the selective supply and discharge of hydraulic pressures, thereby eliminating the high accuracy machining of parts associated with the spoolType: GrantFiled: December 27, 1977Date of Patent: February 5, 1980Assignee: Atsugi Motor Parts Co., Ltd.Inventor: Masanori Kouda

Patent number: 4173987Abstract: A hydraulic power steering system including a rotary control valve having an inner sleeve rotatable with the input stub shaft and a concentric outer sleeve mounted for rotation with the output worm shaft. The inner sleeve is formed on its outer periphery with axially extending equally spaced pressure and return slots associated with axially extending equally spaced slots for fluid flow switching operation. The inner sleeve has an annular recess on its inner periphery and an orifice radially extending through the inner sleeve for permitting the supply of pressure fluid into the annular recess. A piston member may be inserted between the inner sleeve and the stub shaft for rotation with the stub shaft and for sliding movement on the stub shaft. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a plate member having thereon a projection such as a ball is provided for rotation with the outer sleeve.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 1977Date of Patent: November 13, 1979Assignee: Atsugi Motor Parts Co., Ltd.Inventor: Masanori Kouda
