  • Publication number: 20230089472
Abstract: An information processing apparatus has a controller configured to identify a driver of a vehicle on the basis of at least one of the results of first authentication based on a first part of the living body of a user and second authentication based on a user device. The controller gives higher priority to the result of first authentication than the result of second authentication in the processing of identifying the driver of the vehicle. The user device may include a first communication terminal capable of functioning as an electronic key of the vehicle and a second communication terminal incapable of functioning as an electronic key of the vehicle. The controller gives higher priority to the result of authentication of the first communication terminal than the result of authentication of the second communication terminal.

  • Publication number: 20220242342
Abstract: A vehicle system for a vehicle includes a controller configured to: identify a user profile to be loaded based on communication with a user device; receive user preference packets containing a user ID from the user device; determine whether the user ID of the user preference packets matches with a user ID of the user profile to be loaded; and discard the user preference packets in response to determining that the user ID of the user preference packets does not match with the user ID of the user profile to be loaded.

  • Publication number: 20220144292
Abstract: A method comprises, upon determination that one user profile is associated with a detected one or more mobile devices, loading the one user profile associated with the detected one or more mobile devices, upon determination that a plurality of user profiles are associated with the detected one or more mobile devices, loading the user profile that was most recently loaded on the vehicle, and upon determination that no user profiles are associated with the detected one or more mobile devices, loading a guest profile.

  • Publication number: 20210284089
Abstract: An in-vehicle device receives first information which is a part of individual setting information of a user related to pieces of equipment provided in the vehicle from a user terminal owned by the user by short-range wireless communication. The in-vehicle device receives second information other than the first information in the individual setting information from a server device through a network. Then, the in-vehicle device transmits, to an equipment control device, the first information received from the user terminal and the second information received from the server device.

  • Publication number: 20210284088
Abstract: An in-vehicle device receives personalization information including user vehicle settings from one or more user terminals within a predetermined range from the vehicle. The in-vehicle device stores the received personalization information in a storage or memory unit. The in-vehicle device performs an authentication process to identify a specific user on board the vehicle. The in-vehicle device selects the personalization information corresponding to the identified specific user from the personalization information stored in the storage unit. The in-vehicle device transmits the selected personalization information to an equipment controller for controlling equipment settings of the vehicle according to the selected personalization information.

  • Publication number: 20180147987
Abstract: A vehicle display system includes a display unit, a camera controller, and a media controller. When the vehicle display system is in a normal mode, the display unit shows an output image of the camera controller if a transmission of a vehicle is in a reverse gear, and shows an output image of the media controller if the transmission of the vehicle is not in the reverse gear. When the vehicle display system is in a test mode, the display unit shows a test image selected by the media controller regardless of whether or not the transmission of the vehicle is in the reverse gear.

  • Patent number: 7333722
Abstract: In a disc playback apparatus in which a plurality of digital versatile discs (DVDs) are loaded in a disc changer, a key-image extracting unit causes menu screens recorded on the plurality of loaded DVDs to be decoded, and generates predetermined key-image data by reducing video data of the menu screens decoded by a video decoder. The key-image extracting unit stores the generated key-image data in a hard disk device. An index-screen generating unit reads the key-image data stored in the hard disk device to generate and display a predetermined index screen including key images produced using the key-image data. The disc playback apparatus allows a user to readily grasp the content of the DVDs loaded therein.

  • Publication number: 20050074135
Abstract: An audio device and an audio processing method are provided for adjusting the position of a virtual speaker. The audio device comprises a decoder which has audio data provided thereto, the audio data including an audio component for a center speaker and a plurality of audio components corresponding to other speakers disposed with the center speaker interposed therewith, and which decodes these audio components to separate them from the audio data, a center delay processor for delaying the audio component for the center speaker received from the decoder, and a downmixing processor for distributing the delayed center speaker audio component between the other speakers and for merging the audio component distributed to each of the other speakers and the original audio component for each other speaker. Audio sounds corresponding to the downmixed audio components are produced from the other speakers.
