  • Patent number: 9642988
Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to a fixing tool for holding a tubular catheter fixed in relation to the skin of a patient. This catheter fixing tool is equipped with a plate-shaped fixing tool main body and a securing member. The fixing tool main body has a retaining part, defining a catheter retaining slot, and a pair of wing pieces. The securing member can be interlocked with the fixing tool main body by rotating the securing member in a direction parallel to a principal surface of the fixing tool main body taking a virtual line perpendicular to the principal surface as the central axis C1. When securing member is rotationally interlocked with the fixing tool main body, the securing member presses the retaining part and the catheter securing slot is constricted. As a result, the catheter is held fixed by the securing member.

  • Patent number: 8771231
Abstract: A catheter fixture 11 for fixing a tubular catheter 1 to skin of a patient is provided with a plate shaped fixture main body 21, a fixing member 41 that is configured separately from the fixture main body, and a pivot connecting shaft 45. The plate shaped fixture main body 21 includes a retention part 22 where a catheter retaining groove 25 is formed, and a pair of winged pieces 23a and 23b. The pivot connecting shaft 45 both connects the fixture main body 21 and the fixing member 41 and acts as the pivot access C1 of the fixing member 41. The fixing member 41 has a pivoting action along a horizontal plane direction of the fixture main body 21 centrally around the pivot connecting shaft 45. When doing so, the catheter retaining groove 25 is covered by the fixing member 41 thereby fixing the catheter 1.

  • Publication number: 20140081242
Abstract: A valved catheter is provided which includes a slit that opens readily in both directions either when a fluid is caused to flow from the interior to the exterior thereof or when a fluid is caused to flow from the exterior to the interior thereof, and that prevents inadvertent closure thereof from the opened state. The valve includes an openable slit that penetrates from the inner surface to the outer surface of a distal end section of a valved catheter with a closed distal end, and edge portions on the two sides of the slit are formed along the direction in which the valved catheter extends. The slit includes a linear shape in the cross-section of the distal end section of the valved catheter that extends in a position away from a center line “c” that passes through the center of the valved catheter in parallel with this center line “c” whereupon, either one of the edge portions deforms more readily than either one of the other edge portions.

  • Publication number: 20130053763
Abstract: A dialysis catheter is disclosed which comprises a catheter main body and a closure member. The catheter main body includes a first lumen which communicates with a tip-end hole and a second lumen which communicates with a side hole. The closure member has a shape in which a tip-end side of the closure member is inclined with a reduced diameter for closing off a tip-end opening. The side hole is a long hole extending in the catheter long-axis direction. The major axis of the side hole is at least 1.5 times the outer diameter of the catheter, and the minor axis is between 0.5 and 0.9 times the outer diameter. A base-end side of the closure member extends to the position of the side hole and seals the tip-end region thereof.

  • Publication number: 20130018319
Abstract: The present invention relates to a fixing device (11) for fixing a tubular catheter (1) which is equipped with a plate-shaped fixing device body (21) and a fixed member (41). The plate-shaped fixing device body (21) possesses retaining parts (22) and a pair of wing pieces (23) that form a catheter retention slot (25). The fixed member (41) can be fitted onto the fixing device body (21) by being slid along the planar direction of the fixing device body (21). When the fixed member (41) is fitted, the retaining parts (22) are compressed by the fixed member (41), thus narrowing the catheter retention slot (25).

  • Patent number: 6964690
Abstract: A battery case (1) has a cutting groove (10) formed on its elongated side surface (1a). Between a groove bottom surface of the cutting groove (10) and an inner surface of the battery case (1) is provided a thin-walled easily-rupturable portion (12) designed to rupture at an instant when an internal pressure of the battery case (1) reaches a predetermined value. Thereby, a safety mechanism for use with a prismatic battery is realized. The manufacture of the safety mechanism is as follows. A cutting blade (37) rotated at a high speed by a high-speed rotary body (30) is brought into cutting engagement with the elongated side surface (1a) of the battery case (1) of the prismatic battery in finished form until it reaches a predetermined depth and is fixed, and subsequently the high-speed rotary body (30) or the prismatic battery is brought into rectilinear relative movement.
