  • Publication number: 20060044591
Abstract: When there is a possibility where an undesirable printing result may be caused, a preview image useful for the check of the printing result is displayed, prior to an actual printing, to a user. Prior to the printing an image based on data after an image processing of an image data, it is determined whether or not there is a possibility in which an undesirable printing result may be caused based on the image data and, when it is determined that there is the possibility, a warning message is issued. When it is determined that there is a possibility in which an undesirable printing result may be caused, a printer driver simulates the image processing by the printing apparatus to prepare the data after the image processing. A display apparatus displays, prior to the printing of the image, a preview image based on the data after the image processing.

  • Publication number: 20060029293
Abstract: An image processing system that can remove unnecessary blank parts in print data, thereby achieving sheet saving and efficient print output at the time of printing and copying. Data is inputted to an information processing apparatus of the system, and at least one object is extracted from the data. Out of the extracted object, at least one object to be reduced or enlarged is designated, and then reduced or enlarged. The data including the reduced or enlarged object is searched to find at least one blank part in the data, and the reduced or enlarged object is moved to the found blank part. After the reduced or enlarged object has been moved, a blank part generated on the data is deleted from the data.

  • Patent number: 5497361
Abstract: An information reproducing apparatus is capable of stably and correctly binarizing a signal reproduced from a recording medium, such as an optical disk, even if the reproduced signal contains a fluctuation of its low frequency component. The reproduced signal is replaced by an AC signal in a period other than a period during which the reproduced signal is to be demodulated so that DC fluctuation of the reproduced signal is reduced to thereby stably and correctly binarize the reproduced signal.

  • Patent number: 5448543
Abstract: A PLL circuit produces a synchronous signal by utilizing a regenerative clock signal in a VFO portion in a regenerative signal which was read out from a recording medium in sections. When a defective portion is present in a regenerative clock signal, the same sector is read out again from the recording medium to obtain the regenerative signal. A loop gain of the PLL circuit is made to be low in the defective portion of the regenerative signal which was read out again, thereby to prevent the synchronous fault of the PLL circuit due to the defective portion.
