Patent number: 5804797Abstract: A PTC planar heater according to the present invention is produced by bonding one or a plurality of PTC ceramic sheets, each having a pair of electrodes formed on the surface thereof, to an insulator. The electrode pairs are electrically connected in parallel by lead wires. An insulating elastic layer covers the electrodes to prevent warpage, electrical leaks, and shorting. A thickness of the PTC ceramic sheets equal to or greater than 0.5 mm prevents warpage. Resistance is adjusted by cutting conductive paths in the electrodes or by connecting predetermined portions of the electrodes. Further, in a PTC planar unit according to the present invention, a PTC thermistor element having a pair of electrodes formed thereon is in direct contact with one side of an insulation substrate, and a insulation substrate is mounted to the other side thereof.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 1995Date of Patent: September 8, 1998Assignee: Nippon Tungsten Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takashi Kaimoto, Osamu Nakano, Masanori Saito, Koichi Inenaga

Patent number: 4841358Abstract: A color document image reading device provides for inputting of a color image on an original document to various kinds of image processing apparatus. The color document image is decomposed into predetermined pixels, then photoelectrically converted into an electric signal, and then outputted with the pixels arranged time-serially. A filter has a plurality of color separation filter elements which are arranged in a flat configuration while being physically isolated from each other by a light-intercepting area having a predetermined width. The filter is driven by filter drive means in a reciprocal motion in a direction perpendicular to an optical axis, whereby any of the filter elements is brought into alignment with the optical axis. The filter is supported in such a manner as to be movable in a direction of movement of the filter drive means while being prevented from moving in the other directions.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 1986Date of Patent: June 20, 1989Assignee: Ricoh Company, Ltd.Inventors: Yoshiaki Kammoto, Masanori Saito

Patent number: 4698191Abstract: A method of producing a polypropylene resin molded product from foamed polypropylene particles is disclosed, which comprises introducing a pressurizing gas into foamed polypropylene particles having closed cells so that the particles have an internal gas pressure of from 0.3 to 2.5 Kg/cm.sup.2 G, charging the particles in a mold cavity while compressing the particles with a pressurizing inorganic gas until the initial apparent volume of the particles is reduced to 50 to 99%, removing the gas from the mold cavity while keeping the foamed particles in a compressed state, and introducing steam in the cavity to cause adhesion of the compressed foamed particles. The method produces a molded product having satisfactory appearance and excellent adhesion among particles in a shortened molding cycle.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 1986Date of Patent: October 6, 1987Assignee: Mitsubishi Yuka Badische Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hiroshi Endo, Masakazu Arai, Shigeo Nishikawa, Masanori Saito, Masahiro Tanaka, Kunikazu Nagasaki, Shigeki Mathuno
