  • Patent number: 11668009
Abstract: A composite member includes: a substrate formed of a composite material containing a plurality of diamond grains and a metal phase; and a coating layer made of metal. The surface of the substrate includes a surface of the metal phase, and a protrusion formed of a part of at least one diamond grain of the diamond grains and protruding from the surface of the metal phase. In a plan view, the coating layer includes a metal coating portion, and a grain coating portion. A ratio of a thickness of the grain coating portion to a thickness of the metal coating portion is equal to or less than 0.80. The coating layer has a surface roughness as an arithmetic mean roughness Ra of less than 2.0 ?m.

  • Patent number: 6858144
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for treatment of wastewater containing organic sulfur compounds The method includes introducing the wastewater into an apparatus body equipped with a fixed bed in which fixed carriers for the attachment of microorganisms are filled and a fluidized bed in which flowing carriers for the attachment of microorganisms are flown, and enabling the wastewater to flow through the fluidized bed towards the fixed bed so that the wastewater is biologically treated by the fluidized bed and the fixed bed.

  • Patent number: 4943360
Abstract: A method for regenerating a waste liquor containing nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid to recover highly pure nitric and hydrofluoric acids therefrom. The method comprises adding hydrofluoric acid, or an acid mixture of nitric and hydrofluoric acids having a major content of the hydrofluoric acid, to a nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid waste liquor, and subjecting the resulting mixture to dialysis with an ion-exchange electrodialyzer to recover the dialyzed acids. The acid-removed solution is neutralized to cause a precipitate to form and the precipitate is separated. The resultant solution is subjected to an ion-exchange membrane electrodialyzer using a combination of a bipolar membrane, an anion-exchange membrane and a cation-exchange membrane for separation into the acids and the alkali, which are subsequently recovered. The process has a high current efficiency and high recovery rates for acids.
