  • Patent number: 9046034
Abstract: In an engine-driven power generation apparatus, where an engine and a power generator driven by the engine are accommodated in a hermetically sealed housing and where an external air take-in pipe takes air into the housing, an air discharge pipe discharges the taken-in air to outside of the housing and an engine exhaust pipe discharges exhaust gas to outside of the housing, an ejector chamber is provided outside of the housing for causing the air, flowing in the air discharge pipe, to be compulsorily sucked to outside of the housing through a sucking action of the exhaust gas flowing in the engine exhaust pipe.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 27, 2009
Date of Patent: June 2, 2015
    Assignee: HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.

  • Patent number: 7171799
Abstract: A lawn mower having a cutter housing made of a synthetic resin. The cutter housing has side guard parts provided on left and right peripheries of a scroll part. Each side guard part has a hollow reinforcing part. The hollow reinforcing part is made up of a side wall of the scroll part, an approximately horizontal guard wall formed on the side wall, and a connecting rib connecting together the guard wall and the side wall. The reinforcing part makes the cutter housing resistant to impacts from the sides and to bending with respect to its length direction.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 31, 2005
Date of Patent: February 6, 2007
    Assignee: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

  • Patent number: 6688022
Abstract: A walk behind self-propelled crawler snowplow includes a snowplow mechanism driven by an engine via a belt drive power transmission mechanism, and an overload protection device associated with the belt drive power transmission mechanism for protecting the engine against overload. The overload protection device comprises a tension sensor for detecting the tension in an endless belt and generating an electric overload signal to disengage an electromagnetic clutch in the belt drive power transmission mechanism when a belt tension greater than a predetermined value is detected.

  • Patent number: 5210998
Abstract: A lawn mower has a cutter blade rotatable in a substantially horizontal plane, and a cutter housing with the cutter blade being rotatably accommodated therein, the cutter housing comprising an upper wall having a raised scroll, and a circumferential wall having a discharge duct contiguous to the scroll and defining a discharge port. A first inner member is detachably disposed along inner surfaces of the upper and circumferential walls of the cutter housing, the first inner member having an inner surface of arcuate cross section. A second inner member is detachably disposed in the discharge duct contiguously to the first inner member in closing relationship to the discharge port, the second inner member being separate from the first inner member and having an inner surface of arcuate cross section.
