  • Publication number: 20190081366
Abstract: A battery control device of embodiments includes at least two transistors and a control unit. The at least two transistors are at least two transistors that are connected to a battery in series and control charging of the battery, include body diodes, respectively, and are connected in series such that respective body diodes are arranged in the same direction. The control unit changes a conduction pattern in which a conduction state and a non-conduction state of the at least two transistors are switched, and determines whether at least one of the at least two transistors has an abnormality on the basis of a change in a measured voltage.

  • Patent number: 6093917
Abstract: A high frequency heating coil device having sufficient flexibility and heating ability is provided. Coils 2 are contained in outer jacket 1. The coils 2 are made of steel, copper or brass tubing which is annealed sufficiently to be flexible. Plural pieces of magnetic substance 10 are arranged in series between the coils 2. Flexible spacer 9 is arranged between a magnetic substance 10 and the coils 2. Upper and lower end faces of each piece of the magnetic substance 10, make direct contact with other adjacent pieces, and are made with curved faces a. Heating coil device is so constructed that when inserted into a hole of an object to be heated and high frequency current is supplied to the coils to the coils 2 from electric source 6, eddy currents are generated in an inner surface of the hole in order to heat the object. The heating coil device, while being bent to avoid obstructions, can still be inserted into and drawn out of the hole.

  • Patent number: 5278581
Abstract: A printer has a shift register, an emission-time setting section, a laser diode, and a drive section. The register supplies the emission-time setting section with bits representing consecutive pixels including at least one black pixel. The emission-time setting section determines the period of time during which the drive section is to drive the laser diode, from the pixel patterns represented by the bits supplied from the register, and outputs an emission-time signal which represents said period of time. In response to the emission-time signal, the drive section drives the laser diode for the period of time, whereby a black pixel of a desired size is formed on a printing medium.

  • Patent number: 5123989
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for bonding a resin part, which comprises disposing a magnetic complex composed of a resin and magnetic particles as a heating-medium at the resin parts to be bonded, and applying an alternating magnetic field to the heating-medium by using a magnetic field generating means composed of an electromagnetic core and an exciting coil, thereby making said heating-medium generate heat for fuse-bonding said resins.

  • Patent number: 4694131
Abstract: A heating method and heating apparatus for uniformly or substantially uniformly heating a predetermined portion of main and branch pipes including a welded joint therebetween of a main-and-branch-pipe assembly, thereby relieving the residual stress in the welded joint between the main and branch pipes. The defects and problems encountered in the conventional residual-stress-relief treatment processes can be substantially overcome such as complication in winding fabrication at the branch pipe which results in bad control of temperature; a mock-up test being needed for fabrication of an inductor; and existence of a non-heated zone resulting in unbalance of the stresses so that the effects of the residual stress-relief treatment are reduced.

  • Patent number: 4687894
Abstract: A heating method and apparatus for effecting the residual-stress-relief treatment of a welded joint in a pipe line. A welded joint between main pipes, between a main pipe and a branch pipe, between a main pipe and a pipe base or between a branch pipe and a pipe seat and a portion adjacent to the welded point are uniformly or substantially uniformly heated by an inductor which can be varied into configurations according to the performance of the welded joint. The problems encountered in the conventional residual-stress-relief treatment can be substantially overcome.

  • Patent number: 4168190
Abstract: A method and apparatus for treating stainless steel material to reduce the carbon precipitation of the grain boundaries of the material as a result of temperature elevation due to welding, mechanical bending, or the like. The treatment includes the rapid heating of the material to the temperature at which the carbon will enter into solid solution followed by a rapid quenching of the heated material. Beneficial stress modifications are also achieved.
