  • Publication number: 20030189298
Abstract: A combination seal attached to a bearing comprising a fixed element and a rotating element, which rotate relative to each other, so as to seal the inner side and the outer side of said bearing. The combination seal is comprised of a seal ring and a slinger. Said seal ring is comprised of a reinforcing ring and an elastic seal supported by the reinforcing ring. The leading end side of said elastic seal, supported by the reinforcing ring extending toward the slinger, is brought into contact with the surface of the slinger, which is opposite to the seal ring, when the combination seal is attached to the bearing. During the combining work process, when combining the seal ring and the slinger to form a combination seal, the seal lip does not turn over and the seal lip can be held toward a predetermined direction without using a specific jig during the combining work process and without being particularly careful during combining work.

  • Patent number: 6397634
Abstract: A plurality of rollers provided at positions where a transferred glass plate is moved vertically to form a transferring plane formed by the primary rollers into a curved plane, and the curved plane is shifted in the transferring direction of the glass plate with the transfer of the glass plate to bend and shape the glass plate to have a predetermined curvature along the curved plane. Thus, there are obtainable a bending and shaping method and apparatus which does not require the exchanging of rollers in response to the type of glass plate being worked.

  • Patent number: 6049120
Abstract: A semiconductor sensor is provided with a good temperature characteristic, the sensor being capable of preventing a pressure or acceleration detection characteristic from being affected by a change of the surrounding temperature. A semiconductor chip is provided approximately in the center of a die pad of a lead frame and detects a displacement amount corresponding to a pressure or an acceleration. The displacement amount is converted into an electric signal and output. A resin mold is formed so as to cover the semiconductor chip. A thermal-stress-relieving buffer ring is provided on the die pad so as to surround an external circumference of the semiconductor sensor chip thereby preventing stress caused by thermal expansion/contraction of the resin mold from being directly applied to the semiconductor chip from the side.

  • Patent number: 5746870
Abstract: A device is disclosed for simultaneously carrying out vacuum forming, trimming, and wrapping of a skin sheet (S) about a base material (W) in one stage in producing a molding. The device includes a mold (1) for supporting a base material (W) such that an attaching edge (F) of the base material (W) is kept afloat from the base (1A) of the mold (1), a holding-down member (6) disposed above the attaching edge (F) of the base material for holding down the skin sheet (S) mounted on the base material, and a wrapping head (4) disposed outside and below the attaching edge (F) and having a trimming edge (5). The device enables lower production costs and shortens the time cycle for the production.
