  • Patent number: 5332711
Abstract: The present invention provides a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet which can form a clear image having a sufficiently high density and excellent in various types of fastness, particularly durability such as light fastness, fingerprint resistance and which is plasticizer resistance according to a thermal transfer printing process wherein use is made of a heat migratable dye. The thermal transfer image-receiving sheet includes a substrate sheet and a dye-receiving layer formed on at least one surface of the substrate sheet, wherein the dye-receiving layer includes a product of a reaction of a polyoxyalkylene polyol with an organic polyisocyanate.

  • Patent number: 5312797
Abstract: A heat transfer image-receiving sheet for use in a heat transfer printing method using a sublimable dye, including (i) a substrate sheet and (ii) a dye-receiving layer provided on at least one surface of the substrate sheet. The dye receiving layer includes a polyester resin, wherein at least one of the diol component and the acid component of the polyester resin including an alicyclic compound. The heat transfer image-receiving sheet can produce a sharp image with a sufficiently high density, which image is excellent in fastness properties, in particular, in resistance to light, resistance to sebum and sweat and resistance to plasticizer.

  • Patent number: 5267755
Abstract: The present invention relates to a heat transfer recording medium in which a substrate items of information such as an image and characters formed on a surface thereof by heat transfer and a transparent protective layer is provided on at least a part of the surface of the thus recorded information through an adhesive layer, if required, characterized in that the adhesive layer and/or protective layer function to provide security against counterfeiting. Combining information recorded by heat transfer with a function to provide security against counterfeiting, the present invention provides greater security against falsifying or counterfeiting.
