  • Publication number: 20020189086
Abstract: A grounding assembly, preventing discharge induced by charging and thereby suppressing the propagation of noise, comprising a grounding member to be electrically connected to grounding terminals of computers and a conductive member surrounding the grounding member and having a predetermined resistance. The resistance value of the conductive member is set to at least a value preventing contact current when another metal body touches the grounding member, for example, at least 2.5×104 Q. Further, the resistance value of the conductive member is set lower than a value where the conductive member is charged with static electricity, for example less than 1.0×109 Q, so the conductive member is not charged with high voltage static electricity. For this reason, the energy required for a discharge does not accumulate in this conductive member and accordingly noise due to static electricity can be suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20020126236
Abstract: A display panel module such as a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel module in an electronic apparatus is designed to receive a driving signal of a predetermined frequency. An electrically conductive frame or bezel of the display panel module tends to suffer from the transmission of electromagnetic waves which are related to the wavelength of the driving signal. An electrically conductive member is located behind the display panel and electrically connected to the electrically conductive frame. The electrically conductive member serves to diverge the electromagnetic waves out of the electrically conductive frame. This divergence of the electromagnetic waves serves to suppress the electromagnetic radiation out of the electrically conductive frame.

  • Publication number: 20020074519
Abstract: An electron beam treatment device is provided for treating a substance located in a processing chamber which includes electron beam tubes arranged such that electron beam windows project into the processing chamber. The electron beam tubes are arranged such that an absorption dose of the entire treatment area of the substance to be treated has a given distribution. The electron beams emitted by the electron beam tubes are advantageously superimposed so that the absorption dose of the entire treatment area of the substance to be treated is shifted into a given distribution condition, and in which thus the entire treatment area of the substance to be treated can be treated as a whole without moving the substance to be treated.

  • Patent number: 4877445
Abstract: A method for producing metal by the reduction of a metal halide by a reducing metal agent capable of continuously producing homogeneous metal of high purity. In the method, particles of the same metal as the metal to be produced are charged into a reaction vessel and the metal halide and the reducing metal agent both in vapor form, are ejected upwards into the reaction vessel from its lower portion to form a fluidized bed of the metal particles in the vessel. The reducing reaction between the two vapors takes place on the surface of the metal particles at a temperature below the melting point of the metal product and at a pressure below a vapor pressure of each of the reducing metal agent and the metal halide at that temperature, resulting in depositing and growing the metal product on the surface of the particles.
