  • Publication number: 20040195023
Abstract: A vehicle comprises a frame and a slide rail pivotally coupled to the frame. A spring member urges the slide rail in a direction away from the frame. The spring member has a first portion mounted to the frame and a second portion supported on the slide rail at a first spring support position in a first configuration. A spring support is coupled to the vehicle at a second spring support position and is arranged to engage the spring member upon deflection of the slide rail in a second configuration. The vehicle suspension system becomes increasingly stiffer as the deflection of the slide rail increases, to contribute to a more comfortable ride and to reduce the risk of bottoming-out.

  • Publication number: 20040195024
Abstract: A vehicle comprises a frame and a slide rail disposed below the frame for guiding a drive track along a road surface. An arm has a first portion pivotally coupled to the frame at a frame pivot location and a second portion pivotally coupled to the slide rail at a rail pivot location. Vertical movement of the slide rail causes a length of the arm between the frame pivot location and the rail pivot location to extend or contract. The vehicle suspension system becomes increasingly stiffer as the deflection of the slide rail increases, to contribute to a more comfortable ride and to reduce the risk of bottoming-out.

  • Publication number: 20040188160
Abstract: A vehicle comprises a frame, a slide rail, and front and rear arms pivotally coupled to the frame and the slide rail. Front and rear shock absorbers are interposed between the slide rail and the frame. A linkage system is coupled with the slide rail, the front arm, and at least one shock absorber. The vehicle suspension system becomes increasingly stiffer as the deflection of the slide rail increases, to contribute to a more comfortable ride and to reduce the risk of bottoming-out.

  • Publication number: 20040021422
Abstract: A magnetron in accordance with the present invention is configured so that an antenna lead 17 connected to a desired position of an anode segment 2 passes through a magnetic pole piece 7 and a metal cylinder 8 so as not to make contact therewith and is connected to the output portion of the magnetron, and so that the electrical length L1 of this antenna lead 17 between the opening end of a third harmonic restraint choke 15 and the connection portion of the anode segment 2 is 1/2 of the wavelength (&lgr;) of the third harmonic, thereby restraining the third harmonic and the side bands of the third harmonic.

  • Publication number: 20040012349
Abstract: In such a case that a radial dimension of an outer circumference of a small-diameter strap ring of a magnetron is equal to “Rs1”, a radial dimension of an inner circumference of a large-diameter strap ring is equal to “Rs2”, a radius of a circumference which is inscribed to tip portions of anode vanes is equal to “Ra”, and a radius of a central flat portion of a magnetic piece, which is located in the vicinity of each of the anode vanes, is equal to “Rp”, the respective values of Ra, Rs1, Rs2, Rp are set in such a manner that the below-mentioned formulae (1) and (2) can be established:

  • Publication number: 20010031382
Abstract: A carbon protective film of a magnetic recording medium includes a surface region having a high nitrogen concentration. The nitrogen-doped surface region enhances surface energy and improves wettability of the protective film with a liquid lubricant. The nitrogen is implanted by plasma treatment to produce a surface region in the protective film that includes from 6 to 20 at % of nitrogen in the surface region within 30 Å from the film surface. The treatment reduces the contact angle of the film surface with water to the range from of 10 to 30 degrees.

  • Patent number: 6222319
Abstract: In a magnetron apparatus and a manufacturing method of the present invention, the magnetron apparatus comprises an anode cylinder, and a plurality of plate-form anode segments radially arranged around a central axis of the anode cylinder inside the anode cylinder. The anode segments are pressed against an inner surface of the anode cylinder by a pin press-fit into the central portion of the anode cylinder, and a far-end-side end surface each of the anode segments is secured to the inner surface. A concave is provided in the central portion of an inner end surface where the anode segments come into contact with the pin.
