  • Patent number: 5795534
Abstract: A primary molded bottle body 1 is blow molded with a bottomed and tubular lower body blank portion 9 suspended and continuously provided from the bottom of an upper body portion 2. The upper body portion 2 comprises a mouth tube 8 continuously provided through a shoulder portion 7 to the top end of a body wall 3 provided at the back portion thereof with a handle piece 4. Only the lower body blank portion 9 of primary molded bottle body 1 is blow molded by biaxial stretching into a lower body portion 9' to obtain a bottle body 1', so that a large-sized bottle body with a handle having the substantially equal strength to a biaxially stretched blow-molded bottle can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 4924131
Abstract: A piezo-electric acceleration sensor, including: a piezo-electric polymer membrane element having an element through-hole; a diaphragm having a diaphragm through-hole and attached to the piezo-electric membrane element so that the diaphragm hole is concentric to the element through-hole to form a laminate with a laminate through-hole; and a fixing mechanism, having a sensing hole, for fixing the laminate in a stretched manner, and wherein: the laminate through-hole has about 2.25 to about 80% of the area of the sensing hole; and the diaphragm and the piezo-electric element meet the equation:(Eb.times.Tb.sup.3)/(Ep.times.Tp.sub.3).gtoreq.about 5wherein Eb, Tb, Ep and Tp are Young's modulus thickness of the diaphragm, Young's modulus, and thickness of the piezo-electric element, respectively, whereby acceleration, applied to the diaphragm, is detected based on a quantity of electricity generated due to strains in a piezo-electric element.

  • Patent number: 4779738
Abstract: A synthetic resin container having a curved container body and a bottom plate peripherally sealed at the peripheral edge of the lower end opening of the container body which has a spiral notched line spirally formed on the container body from the top edge of the container body. Thus, the synthetic resin container is formed of type that the entirety is covered and can still be readily opened.

  • Patent number: 4511418
Abstract: A bottle made of a saturated polyester resin and having one or more strip-shaped projection for the reinforcement and ornament purposes is provided, which bottle is produced by a method comprising the steps of preparing a parison having an opened upper end and a closed bottom end from a saturated polyester resin, welding a strip-shaped piece made of the same saturated polyester resin on said parison so as to extend in the vertical direction, and then biaxially orientating said parison and said strip-shaped piece as an integral body.

  • Patent number: 4496517
Abstract: This invention relates to process for preparing saturated polyester resin bottles, that the residual strain of the bottles is reduced and the deforming temperature is elevated. The process is that a heated intermediate material (1) made of a saturated polyester resin is set in a mold (5), then compressed air is blown in the intermediate material (1) to orient the same biaxially, temperature in thus shaped bottle is elevated to a temperature higher than the heating temperature of the intermediate material (1) under the elevated pressure to effect thermal fixing and thereafter the saturated polyester resin bottle (19) is taken out.

  • Patent number: 4439393
Abstract: A synthetic resin bottle produced by blow-molding a parison of a synthetic resin. In the blow-molding process of the parison, the portion of the parison supporting the handle is prevented from being expanded, thereby to sufficiently increase the supporting strength of the handle. Since the bottle product has its drum recessed in the vicinity of the handle, the grip of the handle can be facilitated.

  • Patent number: 4397629
Abstract: Apparatus for drawing a mouth-neck portion of a synthetic resin bottle in the radial direction, by inserting an expanding operation zone of the apparatus into the mouth-neck portion in the heated state and expanding respective drawing pieces of the expanding operation zone in the radial direction. The apparatus includes a cylindrical wall constructed by a great number of drawing pieces, a pressing rod inserted into this cylindrical wall to expand the drawing pieces in the radial direction and an elastic tubular member to be inflated in the radial direction by high pressure compressed air.

  • Patent number: 4293520
Abstract: One disadvantage of a biaxially stretched, blow molded bottle of a saturated polyester resin, particularly polyethylene terephthalate, presenting many excellent features and physical properties, lies in its neck portion which is not subjected to stretching during the molding of the bottle, but which is inferior to its body portion in such physical properties and features. This disadvantage is eliminated by molding at least the neck portion of a parison for such a bottle from a biaxially stretched plate of the resinous material from which the bottle is molded, so that both the neck and body portions of the bottle are composed of the duly biaxially stretched material.

  • Patent number: 4256789
Abstract: A polymer parison to be blow molded into a container configuration including a reduced diameter neck and a taper wall disposed between the neck and a greater diameter body portion of the container, which is shaped to permit a sufficient amount of stretch to be imparted to the taper wall forming portion of the parison which has a less-stretching tendency during the blow molding operation. Polyethylene terephthalate exhibits greatly improved characteristics and enhanced durability when it is biaxially stretched more than a certain fixed level. The parison is formed by injection molding such that when the parison is placed in the mold cavity, the taper wall forming portion is at an increased spaced distance away from the cavity wall so as to achieve a sufficient amount of stretch, as noted in the body forming portion of the parison, when it is blown to assume the contour of the mold.
