  • Patent number: 4610162
Abstract: A fluidic flowmeter comprising a combination of an upstream fluidic element and a downstream fluidic element. One of the fluidic elements includes a jet nozzle having a smaller opening area than a jet nozzle of the other. The flowmeter further comprises a bypass passage disposed parallel to the former fluidic element and including valve means, preferably a diaphragm type governor valve. The governor valve includes a main valve member and an auxiliary valve member adapted to open by a fluid pressure upstream thereof when the main valve member is in a closed position. Each of the fluidic elements has a sensor disposed in one of return passages to detect flow rate variations therein. A flow rate indicating device is provided to derive flow rates from signals received from the sensors and indicate the flow rates.

  • Patent number: 4602302
Abstract: A tape cassette recording and reproducing apparatus is provided with a mechanism that automatically reverses the tape drive direction at the end of the tape when the apparatus is in the playback mode, yet automatically stops the tape drive when the apparatus is in the record mode. A further mechanism permits the reversing of the tape drive direction while in the playback mode and the stopping of the tape drive while in the record mode at any time prior to reaching the end of the tape, upon actuating the appropriate control. By utilizing only two mutually slidable elements, one of which is also able to be rotated through a short arc, and a locking element which cooperates with the slidable elements to control the tape drive mechanism and also controls the mode-selecting slide levers of the typical tape recorder, a compact control mechanism is provided that is suitable for use in a portable cassette tape recorder.

  • Patent number: 4405962
Abstract: A cassette loading and unloading mechanism for use in a recording and reproducing apparatus includes a chassis assembly, a cassette holder pivotally mounted on the assembly and adapted to be pivoted between a first loading position and a second operative position, wherein the cassette is adapted to be inserted into the cassette holder to a loaded position in response to a pushing force applied thereto when the cassette holder is in the first loading position; a holder lever adapted to engage the cassette holder to retain the latter in the first loading position; a torsion spring adapted to bias the cassette holder to the second operative position when the holder lever is disengaged from the cassette holder; a threading arm rotatably mounted to the chassis assembly and biased from a first inactive position to a second active position by the cassette when the latter is inserted into the cassette holder to the loaded position; a release lever engaged by the threading arm when the latter is biased to the second a

  • Patent number: 4246773
Abstract: The present invention relates to apparatus for measuring calorific value and Wobbe index of gas by determining the specific gravity of the gas, and apparatus for controlling the calorific value of the gas in accordance with the specific gravity. The specific gravity of the gas is related to the sonic speed in the gas which is determined by means of electric equipment. The electric equipment contains a pair of acoustic tubes, in one of which is contained gas being measured, and in the other of which is contained standard gas. Each of the acoustic tubes is provided at opposite ends thereof with a microphone and a speaker, and a pair of amplifiers, one each associated with a respective microphone and speaker. Howling occurs in each acoustic tube. Consequently a signal having a beat frequency is obtained by mixing and detecting the outputs from the amplifiers, and the beat frequency is representative of the specific gravity of the gas being measured.
