  • Patent number: 4271344
Abstract: A high frequency heating oven has an oven-defining housing having a heating chamber defined therein and a hingedly supported door for selectively closing and opening an access opening leading into the heating chamber. A cooking vessel, such as a saucepan or saucepot, is provided including a weighting plate removably accommodated within the vessel. The weighting plate is used to restrain the food being cooked in position within the vessel during the heating of the food by the use of the high frequency heating oven. The plate is made of dielectric material and has a plurality of vapor escapement holes.

  • Patent number: 4193572
Abstract: A holder of the present disclosure is detachably mounted on a container of an object to be heated for releasably holding a temperature detecting device employed in an oven for detecting the temperature of the object during heating. The holder is made of material having low dielectric loss and includes a body, a pair of arm members extending from one side of the body for holding the temperature detecting device and a pair of leg members extending from approximately either side of the body for clamping the rim of the container between the leg members by elastic force of the leg members.

  • Patent number: 3967088
Abstract: A microwave oven comprises a double-walled housing structure and a hingedly supported door and a door interlocking mechanism for locking the door in locked position to close an access opening communicating to the interior of the microwave oven. In addition to a switch operatively coupled to the interlocking mechanism, which is closed upon closure of the door, a detector device is provided for rendering the high frequency wave oscillator inoperative when the door in the locked position is to be moved from the closed position towards the opened position by the application of an external pulling force thereto or when a foreign matter is jammed in between the door and the front of the microwave oven. The detector device may comprise any of a detector switch, which may be in the form of a microswitch or a pressure sensitive element, or a pivotable lever.
