When a power supply is broken during a writing process so as not to be supplied to the inside, a ferroelectric capacitor in the FeRAM 4 is used so that a voltage for time required for completing the writing process is secured.

Abstract: The IC card sets a status bit, to which an update command including write data is allotted, at a processing start state if receiving the update command from a host apparatus, updates a data region based on control information including information on a previous control region, sets the status bit at a processing end state, and finally transmits a response message to the host apparatus. When restarted if an update processing was interrupted, the IC card prohibits a write data update processing and transmits an error signal to the host apparatus if the status bit is set at the processing start state, and completes the update processing and then transmits the response message to the host apparatus if the status bit is set at the processing end state.

Abstract: A transaction method, transaction system, and management equipment and an IC card is for automating backend processing of transaction data related to a transaction. A detachable IC card (3) is provided in transaction equipment (1). Transaction data related to collected service tickets, etc. are stored in the IC card (3). Management equipment (9) having a card reader/writer reads out service tickets from the IC card (3), and classify and total. As the automatic classification and totaling of service tickets stored in the IC card (3) being performed by the management equipment (9), it enables to automate backend processing. Also, collection of service tickets by means of IC card (3), requesting management equipment to total, enables to save manual processing for service ticket, and to prevent illegalities.

At a toll adjusting gate employing a second toll payment system, information is exchanged with the storage medium in radio communication at a second predetermined frequency to automatically adjust a toll in the second toll payment system. This system is applicable to a system for automatically adjusting a fee or charge such as a toll for a toll road.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an operation management system for a moving body such as a vehicle using a mobile terminal. The present invention reliably and accurately records the operating conditions of vehicles, which enables management to gather accurate information regarding the work performed by a driver or crew in the moving vehicle. Moreover, the present invention realizes safe operation of a moving vehicle by detecting, during operation of a moving body, whether the moving body is exceeding the speed limit and informing the crew of this condition so that the driver will reduce speed to obey the speed limit. The present invention also deters theft of vehicles.

Abstract: In a portable card medium used for an IC card capable of realizing a plurality of application functions, the portable card medium includes an accepting mechanism to accept an application processing request from a host apparatus, an area control mechanism to extract an area of a memory for processing corresponding to the application processing request accepted by the accepting mechanism, and request the executing mechanism to perform the processing in the extracted area, and an area monitoring mechanism to take as input information of an area having access during program execution in the executing mechanism, and monitor whether or not the processing in the executing mechanism is performed in the area extracted by the area control mechanism, thereby preventing data to be managed by other application functions from being fetched.

Abstract: The disclosure concerns apparatus for maintaining continuous tension on the snare bed of a snare drum and for moving the snare bed toward and away from the drum head surface while the snare bed remains tensioned and while the orientation of the snare bed strands remains generally parallel to the drum head surface. The snare bed is held under tension by band presses at opposite sides of the drum shell. Pivoting links at both sides of the drum shell are normally spring biased against the tension of the band presses to move the snare bed away from the drum head surface. Upon a release in the tension of the tensioning means, the spring biased levers, pivot to move the snare bed away from the drum head. Upon an increase in tension of the tensioning means, the biasing force on the links is overcome and the snare bed moves back to the drum head surface.
