  • Patent number: 7679566
Abstract: An antenna structure includes a radiation conductor made of a metal plate that is supported by legs provided upright on a surface of a dielectric substrate and is spaced apart from the surface. The radiation conductor is circularly shaped such that the contour of the radiation conductor conforms to the outer periphery of the dielectric substrate and such that the radiation conductor includes an open portion. One of the legs functions as a feeding terminal and the other functions as a grounding terminal, whereby the radiation conductor operates as a dipole antenna. The radiation conductor has slots for adjusting impedance. Impedance can be adjusted by changing the length of the slots.

  • Publication number: 20090040117
Abstract: A wireless communication apparatus includes a wiring board on which an electronic circuit is provided, and a built-in antenna and an RF module mounted on the wiring board. An antenna terminal, and first terminals and second terminals, which are selectively connected to the electronic circuit, are arranged on the periphery of the RF module. The second terminals are arranged at positions obtained by displaying the first terminals along the periphery of the RF module by a predetermined amount. Either the state where the first terminals are connected to the electronic circuit and the antenna terminal is connected to a power feeding line or the state where the second terminals are connected to the electronic circuit and the antenna terminal is connected to another power feeding line is selectable by rotating the RF module on the wiring board by 90 degrees.

  • Patent number: 6208217
Abstract: An ASK modulator including a switching diode connected in series to a carrier signal transmitting path, a first resistor connected between one end of the switching diode and a digital signal input end and a second resistor connected between one end of the switching diode and the reference voltage point. The digital signal to be applied to the digital signal input end is divided by the first and second resistors and the switching diode is turned ON and OFF to generate the ASK modulated signal with the logical level of the divided digital signal. In this case, the switching level of the switching diode rises substantially to prevent that the switching diode turns ON by the ringing phenomenon.

  • Patent number: 6176432
Abstract: The modulating and demodulating device comprises a microstrip line network connected to a transmitting/receiving antenna, the modulator-demodulator having first and second diodes connected to an output of the microstrip line network, and a bias voltage supplying circuit for supplying a bias voltage selectively to the first and second diodes. In the modulator-demodulator, the first diode is connected between the input and output terminals, and the second diode is connected between the input terminal and a reference potential point. When the modulator-demodulator executes a modulating operation, the bias voltage supplying circuit supplies a bias voltage to turn on both the first and second diodes or a bias voltage to turn on only the first diode in accordance with a modulation signal. When the modulator-demodulator executes a demodulating operation, the bias voltage supplying circuit supplies a bias voltage to turn off both the first and second diodes.

  • Patent number: 6104259
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a harmonic suppression circuit having a first microstrip line and a second microstrip line each having the same characteristic impedance. One end of the first microstrip line is electrically connected to a transmission line over which a signal having a predetermined frequency is transmitted, and one end of the second microstrip line is grounded. The length of the first microstrip line and the length of the second microstrip line are respectively set to the length corresponding to 1/8 of the wavelength with respect to the predetermined frequency. Series impedance means comprised of capacitance means and inductance means is electrically connected between the other end of the first microstrip line and the other end of the second microstrip line. The reactance of the capacitance means and the reactance of the inductance means at the predetermined frequency are respectively set to 3/4 of the characteristic impedance of each microstrip line.
