    Abstract: A seat height adjustment device includes a clutch mechanism (100) and a brake mechanism (500) which are coaxially arranged. The brake mechanism includes a bracket (8), and the bracket has a plurality of fastening components (9) that can be separately fixed corresponding to each of the mounting holes and cannot rotate with respect to the bracket (8). Each fastening component has a connecting end (91) connected to the bracket. The clutch mechanism includes a cover (1) having an outer diameter enlarged with respect to each of the connecting ends. The cover is combined corresponding with the bracket and partially or completely obscuring the connecting ends. Thereby the structure strength of the seat height adjusting device can be enhanced, and the seat height adjusting device can be installed and fixed to the seat in a general manner.

    Abstract: Only a left lock mechanism is coupled directly to an operation bar of comparatively high rigidity and a right lock mechanism is coupled to the left lock mechanism via a wire as a coupling member. The operation bar is rotatably supported at left and right end parts in left and right upper rails. The right end part is rotatably supported in a support pin of a bracket attached to the right upper rail slidably from side to side. A guide hole fitted slidably to an end part of an operation bar is made in a link for coupling the left lock mechanism and the end of the operation bar. A ring bushing made of a resin as a buffer member is fitted into the guide hole and is formed with an opposed face part opposed to the end part of the operation bar and an elastic piece pressed against the upper face of the operation bar.

    Abstract: A lock plate having a plurality of latch holes is connected to a stationary lower rail to extend along the same, and a latch member having latch pawls is fixed to a control rod which is rotatably held by a movable upper rail. One of the latch pawls is longer than the other, so that when the upper rail is slid to a front or rear over-travel position relative to the lower rail, the longer latch pawl is placed outside of an extreme end of the lock plate having the other shorter latch pawl placed on a land portion of the lock plate. Upon application of shock to the upper rail due to for example rapid start or rapid braking of the vehicle, the longer pawl is brought into contact with the extreme end of the lock plate faclitating latched engagement between the shorter pawl and an adjacent latch hole of the lock plate.

    Abstract: A seat slide device for a car having a slidable seat having a forwardly tiltable back support, wherein a lock member is mounted on an operating shaft parallel to a movable rail pivoted to said movable rail, the lock member having pawls capable of being selectively engaged and disengaged with respect to any of the engagement holes. The pawls are always biased in the direction in engaging the engagement holes, and a retaining member linked to the back support is pivoted to an operating member such that when the back support of the seat is forwardly tilted, it engages with a part of the lock member to cause rotation to the pawls in the direction of causing disengagement of the pawls from the engagement holes, and the retaining member is provided with an engagement section capable of being brought into contact with the rear end of a restricting section, when the back support is turned to be upright and being displaced side wise of the restricting section to prevent restoration.

The walk-in mechanism comprises a transmission member which cancels the latched engagement between the movable and stationary rails when turned in a given direction about an operation shaft of the latch mechanism, a memory lever pivotally supported by the transmission member and actable as a prop for keeping the transmission member in the latched engagment cancelling condition and a stepped elongate member fixed to the stationary rail and engageable with the memory lever in a manner to cancel the function of the prop when the seat is slided to a given position with the seatback inclined forward.
