  • Patent number: 6825280
Abstract: Disclosed are a propylene polymer composition possessing excellent balance among rigidity and low warpage, resistance to deterioration caused by thermal oxidation during processing, weathering resistance, antistatic properties, and low bleeding properties, and a propylene resin composition which can easily produce molded products having excellent balance between rigidity and impact resistance (particularly low-temperature impact resistance) or heat resistance. The propylene polymer composition and the propylene resin composition comprise a propylene block copolymer consisting essentially of the following blocks (a) and (b) and having a melt flow rate of 0.

  • Patent number: 5147931
Abstract: A thermoplastic resin composition which comprises 1 to 98 parts by weight of polyolefin (A), 1 to 49 parts by weight of modified polyolefin (B) obtained by reacting a polyolefin with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof, 1 to 98 parts by weight of polyamide (C) [provided that (A)+(B)+(C)=100 parts by weight], 5 to 50 parts by weight of modified ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer (D) obtained by reacting a low-crystalline ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative, and a metal compound (E) in an amount of 0.5 to 5 times the molar quantity of the acid added to said component (B) and said component (D).The thermoplastic resin composition is preferably used for producing products excellent in both impact resistance and surface luster.

  • Patent number: 5013789
Abstract: A process for producing a thermoplastic resin composition which comprises preparing a component composed of 1 to 49 parts by weight of modified polyolefin (A) obtained by adding an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof to a polyolefin, 1 to 98 parts by weight of polyolefin (B), and 1 to 98 parts by weight of polyamide (C) [provided that (A)+(B)+(C)=100 parts by weight], mixing the component or its molten component with a metal compound (D) in an amount of 0.5 to 5 times the molar quantity of the acid added to the modified polyolefin (A), and subsequently melt-mixing the mixture. The thermoplastic resin composition prepared by this process is preferably used for providing products improved in both surface luster and mechanical strengths.
