  • Publication number: 20060024601
Abstract: An electrophotographic toner is prepared by using a binder resin having an acid value of 5 to 15 mgKOH/g, a salicylic metal complex, a colorant, and a releasing agent. In the preparation determination for the third root distribution of a light emission voltage by helium atmospheric pressure microwave induction plasmas for carbon atoms derived from the binder resin and metal atoms derived from the salicylic metal complex is made based on a value measured by a micro-particle measuring apparatus including a normal pressure or atmospheric pressure space, a capillary tube inserted at one end in the space, a microwave source, a cavity, a quartz tubular reactor, a discharge means, an analyses means, and a signal detection portion. The absolute deviation showing the scattering of approximate straight lines approximated by a least squares method is controlled to be 0.08 or less.

  • Patent number: 6901891
Abstract: In a fluid passage structure of an internal combustion engine wherein oil flows from an in-block flow passage formed in a cylinder block to an in-head flow passage formed in a cylinder head, a groove that is generally rectangular in cross section is so formed in a top face of the cylinder block as to extend from a position corresponding to an opening of the in-block flow passage formed in the top face to a position corresponding to an opening of the in-head flow passage formed in a bottom face of the cylinder head, by machining or the like. Thus, a flow passage arrangement in which the openings of the flow passages are offset from each other is allowed. As a result, the degree of freedom in designing the fluid passage structure is enhanced.

  • Patent number: 6896245
Abstract: A stratified scavenging carburetor with a lost motion coupling permits limited relative movement of a throttle valve relative to an air valve so that initial opening of the throttle valve off idle does not open the air valve to avoid diluting with scavenging air the fuel and air mixture delivered to an engine. Rotation of the throttle valve beyond a predetermined amount from idle causes a corresponding opening of the air valve to provide scavenging air to the engine. Closing a choke valve engages a lock lever with the throttle valve to move the throttle valve off idle to a start position without opening the air valve. In another embodiment, closing the choke valve prevents the air valve from opening even if the throttle valve is moved beyond where the throttle valve would cause the air valve to open if the choke valve were open. Thus, a richer than normal fuel and air mixture can be supplied to the engine during a choke-assisted start and warm-up of the engine.

  • Patent number: 6871843
Abstract: An idle fuel supply device for a carburetor has an idle air passage that communicates with an air intake passage and a fuel chamber. A passage extending from a fuel metering chamber is connected to the fuel chamber preferably via a fuel adjusting needle valve. A low speed fuel nozzle hole communicates the fuel chamber with the air intake passage in the vicinity of a throttle valve when in its idle position. A passage communicates with the fuel chamber and the idle air passage, so that fuel and air may mix in at least a portion of the idle air passage.
