  • Patent number: 5291982
Abstract: A passenger conveyor includes a platform floor having a slanting portion. A length of the slanting portion is not less than a length of each of treadboards of the passenger conveyor, and at least one of the treadboards of an advance side, when passing under the platform floor, is disposed horizontally beneath the slanting portion. With this arrangement, a push cart or the like can be smoothly moved from the treadboard to the platform floor.

  • Patent number: 5178254
Abstract: A passenger conveyor, such as an escalator or a moving walkway, in which a device for transmitting a change of direction of the movement of treadboards to a passenger by changing the passenger's sense of touch is provided in the vicinity of a boundary between a horizontal path and an inclined path. With this construction, a level difference between the adjacent treadboards is produced when the treadboard moves into the inclined path, thereby preventing the passenger from accidentally falling down.

  • Patent number: 4039049
Abstract: An elevator car call selection apparatus is disclosed in which in order for at least a car covering a plurality of floors to serve at least a hall call or cage call, an advance position where said car in travel is capable of stopping by deceleration and the presence or absence of the call at an advance floor corresponding to the advance position are detected, so that the floor to be next served by the car is decided in response to a call generated at the advance floor. In order to calculate the advance floor with an electronic circuit and detect a call to be next served according to the result of the calculation, the apparatus comprises means preset to produce step signals at time points when the advance floor is advanced progressively after the starting of the car.
