Abstract: A food slicer includes an end detecting device for detecting end portions of a food fed by a feeder. A retaining member is arranged to be movable with the food in a feeding direction of the feeder and to be retractable at substantially a right angle to the feeding direction to penetrate into and depart from the food. A controller is responsive to a detection signal of the end detecting device for causing the retaining member to penetrate into and hold the other end of the food and to travel with the food until the other end of the food comes close to a rotary knife.

Abstract: Articles aligned on a belt conveyor are transferred, without being clamped, to predetermined article delivery positions at the packaging machine. To this end, articles 1 are transferred onto a positioning conveyor 21 having comb-like interteeth clearances. Articles 1 are caused to dwell at a predetermined position on the positioning conveyor 21, and the conveyor 21 is stopped and then lowered to allow the upper surface 61a of holding bars 61 of a slide conveyor 22 to be exposed through the comb-like interteeth clearances, whereupon articles 1 transfer onto the upper surface 61a of the holding bars 61. The slide conveyor 22 is advanced to move the holding bars 61 to a location below pivot shutters 79 of an elevating frame 66 which is on standby at its most elevated position. The elevating frame 66 is then lowered to allow the articles 1 on the holding bars 61 to transfer onto the pivot shutters 79.

Abstract: The invention relates to a facial suction device for massaging facial skin and the like by suction, and its object is to controll suction force appropriately and operation noise small.The suction device according to the invention includes a suction pump comprising a diaphragm 9 of which the center part is formed in a dome section 11, a suction valve 13a and an exhaust valve 13b both made of thin plate and disposed on the end of the diaphragm. And the dome section 11 of said diaphragm 9 is expanded and contracted by the rotation of an eccentric shaft of a motor 4, thereby the suction valve 13a and the exhaust valve 13b are operated to conduct sucking against the face.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a motor driven toothbrush, having a scrubbing shaft supported on a standard secured to an end plate of a housing and movable in a direction of the axis of the scrubbing shaft, a rolling shaft coaxially fitted to the scrubbing shaft and movable around the axis of the rolling shaft, first drive means driven by an electric motor for driving said scrubbing shaft reciprocally in the axial direction, second drive means driven by the rotation of the electric motor for swinging said rolling shaft reciprocally around the axis of the rolling shaft, and adapter means having a toothbrush unit and being detachably mounted to the rolling shaft and/or the scrubbing shaft, whereby the operator of the toothbrush can select the scrubbing motion or rolling motion of the toothbrush as desired.
