  • Patent number: 6760851
Abstract: A PC includes a main body housing and lid. The main body housing has an input unit on the upper surface, and the lid pivotally attached to the back portion via a hinge. The lid has a liquid crystal display on the inner surface, and an antenna disposed above the display to communicate with a peripheral device. The PC has a detector made up of a push type switch and projection for detecting the open/closed state of the lid. The CPU of the PC detects the open/closed state of the lid by a detection signal from the detector, and controls shift of the peripheral device between a normal mode and a power saving mode.

  • Patent number: 6654231
Abstract: An electronic device includes a display section and an antenna. The antenna is provided on the back of a display panel within a housing of the display section. The housing of the display section has an opening to surround an area for mounting the antenna. Even with the antenna disposed within the housing of the display section, antenna performance is improved. The electronic device has a reduced size and a higher package density, as well as reliable communications with constant stability.

  • Patent number: 6642892
Abstract: An electronic device comprises a pair of diversity antenna modules of a first wireless communication scheme placed near the left and right ends of a display unit, and an antenna module of a second wireless communication scheme placed between the pair of diversity antenna modules. Each antenna module comprises a flexible substrate and an antenna provided on the substrate, in which a portion of the substrate having the antenna thereon projects from the upper end of the display unit is folded toward the front side of the display unit.

  • Publication number: 20020053878
Abstract: A vehicle lamp has light sources having light emitting diodes that are vertically and horizontally disposed in the form of a square. A first LED group is disposed in the central position of the light source and is turned on in the tail lamp lighting mode. A second LED group surrounds the first LED group, and is turned on together with the first LED group in the stop lamp lighting mode. Thus, the light source appears as if the LEDs became luminous around the central position of the light source in any lamp lighting mode.
