  • Patent number: 5326317
Abstract: A ventilator has incorporated in a main body thereof an air blower having a ventilation casing provided with a fan intake opening facing an intake opening of the main body of the ventilator, the inner side of the main body being opened to form the intake opening thereof. A cylindrical soundproof unit including an inner ventilation passage having a larger ventilation area than a fan intake space and formed of a laminated plate which is formed of a plurality of air layers arranged in a direction intersecting the rotation axis of the air blower from the inner ventilation passage, is disposed in a space between the fan intake opening and the intake opening of the main body. The soundproof unit makes it possible to decrease noise generated by the air blower while the ventilation resistance is hardly increased.

  • Patent number: 4819302
Abstract: A clearer mechanism for a draft roller, a clearer holder supporting a clearer member therein, and a suspensory member suspended from the draft roller and detachably supporting the clearer holder such that the clearer member is held against a working periphery of the draft roller. The mechanism further includes an actuating member or a restraining member projecting from either of the clearer holder and the suspensory member for displacing the actuating member or the restraining member to thereby reciprocally move the clearer holder along the working periphery of the draft roller.

  • Patent number: 4785507
Abstract: A retainer frame supportiing pat type clearer members is arranged in opposed relation to a draft roller. The retainer frame is inserted at both longitudinal end portions thereof into insert grooves of supporting brackets mounted on roller stands or draft roller bearing members placed on the roller stands. The retainer frame is formed by folding a metal plate. Each of the clearer members is formed with stopper lugs at both side edges thereof. With this arrangement, each clearer member may be easily installed into the retainer frame, and a uniform projection of the clearer member from the retainer frame may be maintained.

  • Patent number: 4603460
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a heat exchanger in which a laminate prepared by laminating many sheets one upon another so that the neighboring sheets may be formed with bonded portions and non-bonded portions, is expanded in such a direction that the respective sheets are spaced from each other so as to form flow channels or passages between the sheets at the non-bonded portions, and which employs the steps of printing patterns of bonded material onto the sheets, laminating the sheets, and subsequently expanding the laminate of the sheets to form the heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 4574872
Abstract: A heat exchanger apparatus includes a cylindrical-shaped heat exchanger formed by alternately laminating first and second elements in the circumferential direction of the cylindrical-shaped heat exchanger. The cylindrical-shaped heat exchanger is rotated to carry out the function of the conventional regenerative rotary type total heat exchanger. In addition, the first and second elements are also allowed to effect a heat exchange or total heat exchange operation. The cylindrical-shaped heat exchanger is either hollow or solid, which provides many variations in arrangement of air ducts for primary and secondary air flows. Further, a partition interposed between the first and second elements has variation in property: permeable to water vapor; non-permeable to water vapor as well as non-hygroscopic; and so forth. The first and second elements exchange heat with each other in a total heat exchange operation mode and a sensible heat exchange operation mode.
