  • Patent number: 6714274
Abstract: A liquid crystal display apparatus in which an arrangement possibly susceptible to degradation in display quality by a miss shot of a laser used for turning amorphous silicon into polycrystalline silicon is avoided and a narrow peripheral frame can be attained. A gate interconnection for transistors in a driving circuit area is arranged along a folded line having two lines extending in two different directions and a bent portion. Channel regions of the transistors are arranged along the two lines, such that the channel regions do not overlap the bent portion.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display apparatus in which an arrangement possibly susceptible to degradation in display quality by a miss shot of a laser used for turning a-Si to p-Si is avoided and a narrow frame can be attained, is provided. A gate interconnection for a plurality of transistors in a driving circuit area is arranged along a folded line having two lines extending in two different directions and a bent portion when viewed two-dimensionally, and channel regions of the driving transistors are arranged along the two lines, such that the channel regions do not overlap the bent portion, when viewed two-dimensionally.

  • Patent number: 6195876
Abstract: In an electronic component placing apparatus, four magazines are mounted on a head, and yet electronic components are housed in each magazine. In this apparatus, by an operation of selectively inserting a suction nozzle into four insertion openings in the magazines, it is possible to load a desired electronic component on a substrate, and this component loading can be repeatedly performed until the housed components are exhausted.

  • Patent number: 6117481
Abstract: A manufacturing method for electronic devices including applying photosensitive or non-photosensitive resin onto a substrate by a slit-type dropping nozzle method. A slit-type dropping nozzle for performing resin application is scanned to apply resin while maintaining a scanning direction of the nozzle in an inclined condition relative to the substrate at a specified angle in substantially a same direction as a rotating direction of the substrate after resin has been applied thereto. With the above method, even in a case in which clogging of a part of the nozzle due to foreign matter and dropping defects have occurred, the uniformity in film thickness typically will not be affected unless the defect has occurred in the center of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 4976473
Abstract: A winding apparatus for sheet-shaped molding material wherein slippage in the width direction can be prevented when the sheet-shaped molding material is wound around a winding core tube, because side plates are detachably mounted on both ends in the axial direction of the winding core tube. Thus, the slippage during the winding operation can be prevented, so that the weight of the molding material being wound can be increased, whereby a thick, wide thick molding compound can be rolled.

  • Patent number: 4950353
Abstract: An apparatus for continuously manufacturing a sheet of molded compound includes a first conveying unit for continuously conveying a lower film. First and second impregnation rollers are provided above the lower film for impregnating a viscous material and a solid material to obtain a compound mixture to be dropped onto the lower film. First and second scraping rollers are provided below the first and second impregnation rollers to scrape the compound mixture from the impregnation rollers. A scattering roller is provided below the first impregnation roller upstream from the first scraping roller relative the feed direction of the lower film. The scattering roller is positioned to act upon rotation to prevent scattering of portions of the composite mixture caused at least in part by the first scraping roller. A second conveying unit is provided for conveying an upper film.

  • Patent number: 4875434
Abstract: An apparatus for coating the flat surface of a substrate with a coating material is disclosed in which only a minimum amount of coating material is required for uniformly coating the entire surface of the substrate in an efficient manner under a variety of coating conditions, even if the substrate surface takes a non-circular configuration. According to one embodiment, the flat surface of the substrate is first coated with a coating material, and the substrate thus coated is then spunned at predetermined number of revolutions per minute. According to another embodiment, the apparatus includes a support table on which the substrate is fixedly mounted. A plurality of shaping members are slidably mounted on the support table for forming with the flat non-circular-shaped surface of the substrate a flat continuously extending circular-shaped surface.
