    Abstract: A portable ultrasonic diagnostic device having a tilt function and turning function for a display panel, wherein a display housing provided with the display panel is supported on a main housing by a biaxial hinge mechanism in order to prevent damage or the like to each of the parts of the device. The biaxial hinge mechanism includes a tilt function for tilting the display housing about a horizontal tilt rotational shaft, and a turning function for turning the display housing about a vertical turning shaft. Provided to the tilt rotational shaft is a mechanism for restricting tilt rotation in the direction for closing the display housing in places other than a predetermined position in the direction of rotation of the turning shaft of the display housing, and releasing the restriction of the tilt rotation only at the predetermined position.

The cart has a top board 1 for placing the portable ultrasonic diagnostic device thereon, a support column 2 for supporting the top board in such a manner as movable up and down, multiple legs 3 for supporting the support column, wheels 4 respectively attached to the legs, and a unit 5 having a predetermined function. The unit 5 is placed below the top board 1 in the rear of the support column 2, and the center of gravity of the cart is positioned in the rear of the center of the support column 2. This cart has a simple configuration enabling downsizing, and it is high in operability. It is possible to open and use the portable ultrasonic diagnostic device in the state that the portable ultrasonic diagnostic device is kept mounted on the cart.

    Abstract: In a magnetic disk drive, a shock absorbing device has recesses formed in the base of the disk drive, and elastic shock absorbing members respectively fitted in the recesses. In an unstressed position, the highest point or apex of each shock absorbing member is higher than a mount face in which the recess is formed. A suitable gap exists between the outer periphery of the shock absorbing member and the inner periphery of the recess. When the base of the disk drive is affixed to the housing of a system body, the shock absorbing member is deformed and is fully received in the recess because of the gap. When the disk drive is caused to fall down by accident, the shock absorbing device reduces the impact to be imparted to mechanisms mounted on the base.
