In the disc cartridge, a slider is provided with projections and holes for engagement and each of the shutter plates is provided with an L-shaped connected portion formed with holes and projections respectively engageable with the projections and holes of the slider, and connection of the slider to the shutter plates for assembling a shutter is accomplished through engagement between the projections and holes of the slider and shutter plates while abutting inner and end surfaces of the slider against horizontal and vertical portions of the stepped connected section of each of the shutter plates.

Abstract: A hub to be attached to the central portion of a recording medium comprises a flat plate-like body made of a metallic material, and an annular resinous body firmly attached to the flat plate-like body by insert-molding, wherein at least one bent portion with an opening for connecting the annular resinous body to the flat-plate-like body is formed in the flat plate-like body so that the opening is in parallel to the upper or lower surface of the flat plate-like body.

Abstract: A disc cartridge capable of permitting upper and lower shutter plates of a shutter to be substantially uniformly contacted with upper and lower surface portions of a slide area section defined on a casing to ensure satisfactory operation of the disc cartridge with high reliability. In the disc cartridge, the upper and lower surface portions of the slide area section are obliquely formed in such a manner that a distance between the upper surface portion and the lower surface portion is reduced toward a distal opening of the shutter fitted on the slide area section.

Abstract: A disc cartridge capable of readily fitting a holding plate in a casing to facilitate assembling of the cartridge without using any adhesion. Shutter plates each are formed at its distal end with a depression which is slidably interposed between a recess of the casing and the holding plate received in the recess and holding elements are provided at the casing and positioned above the holding plate in a manner to overhang the recess, resulting in positively and stably holding the holding plate in the recess, so that the holding plate may be readily arranged fitted in the casing by merely inserting it in the recess.

A casing is provided thereon with a slide area which is formed by a slide area defining section of the casing. The slide area is formed with at least one head inserting hole. The slide area defining section is provided on an inner surface thereof with at least one thick-walled portion in a manner to extend along a whole periphery of a portion of the head inserting hole overlapping a sheet-like liner and inwardly project from the inner surface of the casing, so that the liner may be pressed against the disc at a force of a constant level over a wide area of the disc and block a communication between an exterior of the cartridge and its interior through the head inserting hole.

Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette capable of effectively preventing separation of a slider from a casing even when it is dropped or any external force is applied thereto, resulting in ensuring its safety and reliability. The magnetic case includes a casing constituted by an upper casing member and a lower casing member and a slider slidably mounted on the lower casing member. Each of side walls of the slider includes a lower portion opposite to an outer surface of a side wall of the lower casing member and an upper portion opposite to an inner surface of the side wall of the upper casing member. The cassette also includes a mechanism for preventing the slider from being disclocated from the casing. The mechanism may be provided by positioning the inner surface of the side wall of the upper casing member inwardly from the outer surface of the side wall of the lower casing member.

Abstract: A locking mechanism for a front cover of a magnetic tape cassette which occupies only a small space is disclosed.The locking mechanism comprises a locking lever provided in at least one of the both ends of the cassette case, an elastic member always deflecting the locking lever toward an end plate of the front cover of the cassette case and an achoring member provided in one of end plates of the front cover so as to be engageable with an anchoring click of the locking lever, and the locking lever is slidably guided by a guiding mechanism formed in the cassette case.

The casing includes a casing body constituted by an upper cover member and a lower cover member joined together to form an inner space therein which is adapted to rotatably receive therein a disc having a non-recording section formed at its outer periphery and be separable at rear ends thereof from each other. The casing also includes a pair of guides arranged on both side of a rear portion of an interior of the casing body so as to be opposite to each other. The guides permit insertion and removal of the disc with respect to the casing body to be safely accomplished along the guides through the opened rear end of the casing. The casing includes a casing body having an upper casing member and a lower casing member joined together. The slider is slidably mounted on the lower casing member so as to cover at least a part of a bottom and a side of the lower casing member. The upper casing member is provided at a rear portion of both sides thereof with holding members through which the casing is grasped. The holding members are separated or isolated from the slider, to assure smooth sliding movement of the slider. The casing body may be provided on both sides thereof with reliefs which serve to prevent the holding members from interfering with movement of the slider.
