  • Publication number: 20100234217
Abstract: A catalyst 1 for exhaust gas treatment is processed by depositing noble metal particles 30 on an oxygen storage/release material 20 and by coating a coating layer 40 on the material 20, the coating layer 40 comprising a sulfate compound of the metallic element contained in the material 20. In the catalyst 1, the material 20 can prevent from being reacted with sulfur contents contained in the exhaust gas for forming a new sulfate compound on the surface. Moreover, the temporarily-concentration increasing of the hydrogen sulfide in the exhaust gas can be prevented, which is caused by the sulfur contents adsorbed on the material from the exhaust gas.

  • Patent number: 6519913
Abstract: A screw capper includes a capping head which comprises a chuck for holding a cap, a motor for driving the chuck for rotation, a cam mechanism for elevating the chuck, and an air cylinder for imparting a load to the chuck. A load imparted by the air cylinder is controlled by a controller to be zero from the beginning of a screwing and tightening operation until an angle of rotation of the chuck exceeds a specific angle where the load is changed, and is controlled to a higher value upon detection of an angle of rotation of the chuck which exceeds the specific angle in the course of the screwing and tightening operation. The arrangement allows a reliable screwing and tightening to be achieved as compared with the prior art while preventing a damage to threads or the occurrence of a cocked cap.

  • Patent number: 6191061
Abstract: In an exhaust gas in an oxygen-rich atmosphere, a method of purifying an exhaust gas and a catalyst for purifying an exhaust gas, which can exhibit a high NOx conversion securely, are provided. Disclosed is a method of purifying an exhaust gas that reduces and purifies NOx in an exhaust gas in an oxygen-rich atmosphere. Here, as a catalyst for purifying an exhaust gas, a loading layer comprising zeolite is loaded with alumina sulfate and cerium sulfate-zirconium composite oxide, and Pt is loaded on these. And, in a temperature range where HC are not oxidized, the HC are adsorbed and held by the zeolite, the HC, which the zeolite releases at the temperature increment, are subjected to cracking by the zeolite, the alumina sulfate and the cerium sulfate-zirconium composite oxide, and the thus produced low-grade HC are turned into reducing agents, thereby reducing and purifying the NOx in the exhaust gas.
