  • Patent number: 8488141
Abstract: An image forming apparatus including a controller generating image data and a print control signal and outputs the image data and the print control signal together with a print request; and an engine driving print process devices to perform print processing according to the image data. Upon receipt of the print request, the engine initiates the print process devices to print an image according to the image data. When receiving no next print request within a predetermined waiting time, the engine inquires the controller whether there is a next page image to be printed. When receiving a response from the controller such that there are next page image data, the engine sets a predetermined second waiting time while stopping termination of the print process devices for the predetermined second waiting time.

  • Patent number: 8289552
Abstract: A determining unit calculates an estimated time until drawing data is transmitted to an engine, and transmits the drawing data, a print instruction, and the estimated time to the engine. An activating/terminating unit activates or terminates each unit of the engine. A confirming unit inquires the controller of presence of drawing data of a next page, and acquires an estimated time. An activation/termination controlling unit controls the activating/terminating unit when it is judged that the estimated time is longer than a sum of a time required for activating units of the engine and a time required for terminating the units.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus connectable to a first feed tray and a second feed tray includes an image forming unit, a feed path, and a detecting unit provided on the feed path to sense recording medium jam. An identifying unit identifies a feed path and a feed tray where recording medium jam has occurred as a jammed path and a jamming feed tray. A first determining unit determines whether the image forming apparatus is connected to the second feed tray. A second determining unit determines whether the second feed tray can feed a recording medium to the image forming unit. • Publication number: 20090021786
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a printer control unit that converts received print data into job data that can be printed on a recording medium; and an engine control unit that receives the job data from the printer control unit, performs a printing operation corresponding to the job data, and upon finishing the printing operation, starts an ending sequence for ending an image forming process. Upon finishing the printing operation, the engine control unit determines whether the printer control unit is in processing next print data to be printed out, and if it is determined that the printer control unit is in processing the next print data, maintains a printing status without starting the ending sequence.

  • Publication number: 20070187198
Abstract: A piston rod is connected to a piston and extends through a seal in the end face of a cylinder. A locking tube which surrounds the cylinder when the piston rod is retracted has a first end section mounted to the free end of the piston rod so that the locking tube is pivotable between a release position, wherein the locking tube is substantially coaxial to the piston rod, and a locking position, wherein the locking tube is inclined toward the piston rod. An opposed second end section has a supporting stop which can be positioned axially against the free end of the cylinder when the piston rod is extended and the locking tube is in the locking position. An actuable retaining device retains the locking tube in the locking position only by manually pivoting the locking tube into the locking position when the piston rod is extended.

  • Publication number: 20070025818
Abstract: An icebreaker main body 16 in which an expandable/shrinkable film body 18 is fixed, by fittings, to a wall surface 14 of a canal 10 is provided near a gate. When an ice 36 is formed in the vicinity of the surface of water 34 of the canal 10, air is supplied from a compressor 32 into the expandable/shrinkable film body 18 to inflate the expandable/shrinkable film body 18. The ice 36 is crashed due to a pressure applied from the inflating expandable/shrinkable film body 18, whereby the gate can be opened/closed smoothly.

  • Patent number: 6494387
Abstract: Disclose is a low-pressure atomizing spray gun. The spray gun comprises an air spray gun body, a paint nozzle attached to the spray gun body, an air cap attached to the air spray gun body to cover the paint nozzle, and air groove on a tip portion of the paint nozzle. An annular slit is defined between a central opening of the air cap and the paint nozzle. The air grooves extend from at or upstream of an inlet end of the annular slit towards a discharge end of the nozzle. Also, a discharge end of the paint nozzle projects from 0.3 mm to 0.8 mm from a front end of the central opening in the air caps.

  • Patent number: 5610724
Abstract: In an image forming system, an image forming apparatus with an optional main box having a plurality of bins prevents the cover of each bin from being locked in its closed position unless papers output to all the bins are taken out. Hence, all the bins are empty when they are used later, and can be used by any users. This implements a mail box which can be efficiently used by many users.
