  • Patent number: 8955475
Abstract: The scavenging passage includes a wall surface that defines an orientation direction of a main scavenging gas flow spouting from the scavenging port to the cylinder chamber. In a boundary portion between the scavenging port and the scavenging passage, a wall surface located on an opposite side of the exhaust port is composed of an inclined surface inclined in a direction further away from the exhaust port than a wall surface of a deep portion of the scavenging passage. The scavenging port includes a rear wall surface located in a portion on the opposite side of the exhaust port. The rear wall surface continues to the inclined surface to extend in the direction away from the exhaust port and generates an incidental scavenging gas flow incidental to the main scavenging gas flow and higher in speed than the main scavenging gas flow.

  • Publication number: 20060010860
Abstract: A catalyst-installed muffler includes an expansion chamber (25), and a gas-permeable exhaust gas-purifying catalyst (30), wherein exhaust gas blown out of the exhaust port (10) of an internal combustion engine is introduced into the expansion chamber (25) through the catalyst (30). The catalyst (30) may be cylindrical in configuration. An outer circumferential cross-sectional configuration of the catalyst (30) is made identical with an inner circumferential cross-sectional configuration of the outer end portion (10a) of the exhaust port (10), so that one end portion (exhaust gas introducing side 30a) of the catalyst (30) is enabled to fit in an outer end portion (10a) of the exhaust port (10). According to this muffler, it is made possible to utilize the purifying capacity of the catalyst to a maximum extent.

  • Patent number: 6459568
Abstract: In a hybrid type gas insulation switch gear apparatus, an enclosure includes a cylindrical branched portion branched from a cylindrical body so as to be inclined obliquely upward. An insulating gas is sealed therein. Insulating enclosures are mounted to the enclosure and the cylindrical branched portion, a disconnecting switch is arranged within the enclosure and electrically connected to the bushing. A circuit breaker is arranged within the insulating enclosure and electrically connected in series to the disconnecting switch. A current transformer is arranged on the cylindrical branched portion. A connecting conductor is arranged in between the circuit breaker and the disconnecting switch and an earth switch mounted to the enclosure, and an insulating member for supporting a primary electrode and the bushing conductor on the enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20020127363
Abstract: An effortless peeling operation is provided with maintaining the adhesion area required between a display panel and a chassis, which allows a disassembling operation for recycling and a parts replacement operation to be simplified. A plasma display apparatus includes a plurality of double-faced adhesive tapes 50 interposed between and adhering to the back surface of a display panel 1 and a chassis 3 for attaching the chassis 3 to the display panel 1. The double-faced adhesive tape 50 used has an adhesive strength smaller than a peel force produced by strain in a width direction caused by tension in a longitudinal direction, and the tape 50 is pulled in the longitudinal direction for peeling.

  • Patent number: 5142373
Abstract: A rear projection television set is of the construction in which an image light projected from a projection cathode ray tube is reflected by a mirror onto the rear surface of a screen comprising a Fresnel lens and the light passes through the front surface of the screen to be viewed by viewers. The condensing distance of the Fresnel lens is selected to be less than four meters for radii of up to 300(S/40) millimeters of the Fresnel lens when the mirror is positioned relative to the screen such that A.ltoreq.200+(S-40).times.10 millimeters, where S is the diagonal distance of the screen in inches and A is the shortest distance between the mirror and the screen.
