  • Patent number: 9555555
Abstract: A cutting method and an apparatus are provided which enable a rim area or other part of a vitreous silica crucible to be cut off so as to leave a smooth cut surface without damaging the cut edge, etc. The apparatus for cutting the crucible comprises a disk-shaped cutting blade (10) disposed to be movable with respect to the crucible. Without rotating the crucible (20), the rotating cutting blade (10) is brought into contact with a surface of the crucible wall and pushed forward in the wall thickness direction to make a cut piercing the crucible wall. The cutting blade (10) is moved relatively to the crucible (20) in the circumferential direction of the crucible (20) while keeping the cutting blade in the state of piercing the wall. A rim area (25) of the crucible (20) is thus cut off.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus transmits a database to an external server. The image forming apparatus includes a storage section, a replication section, an encipherment section, a transmission section, a generation section, and an acquisition section. The storage section stores a database therein. The replication section generates a replica of the database stored in the storage section as a replicated database. The encipherment section enciphers the replicated database. The transmission section transmits the enciphered database to the external server each time a predetermined time period elapses. The generation section generates a deciphering key for deciphering the enciphered database. The acquisition section acquires disaster information. Upon the acquisition section acquiring the disaster information, the transmission section transmits the deciphering key to the external server.

  • Publication number: 20160113616
Abstract: It is possible to reliably avoid a problem that radiation irradiation does not stop even when an accumulated radiation dose reaches a target radiation dose. An AEC unit starts monitoring an integrated value of a radiation dose detection signal from a detection pixel and an output of an irradiation continuation signal at the same time, and continuously transmits the irradiation continuation signal in a predetermined period while the integrated value does not reach a threshold value. When the integrated value reaches the threshold value, the output of the irradiation continuation signal is stopped. The irradiation continuation signal is transmitted to an irradiation signal I/F of a radiation source control device through an irradiation signal I/F by wireless. The radiation source control device stops X-ray irradiation by an X-ray source when the irradiation signal I/F does not receive the irradiation continuation signal.
