Abstract: A vehicle electronic controller for checking a control microcomputer with a common monitoring IC, which is used in different vehicles. The vehicle electronic controller includes a control microcomputer, which calculates control data to control an actuator installed in a vehicle in accordance with a driving condition of the vehicle, and a monitoring IC, which is connected to the control microcomputer and checks whether or not the control data is normal based on a determination value. The control microcomputer provides the determination value to the monitoring IC. The monitoring IC includes a memory device, which stores the determination value in a rewritable manner. The monitoring IC receives the determination value and stores the determination value in the memory device.

Abstract: An apparatus detects a collision according to a signal from an acceleration sensor 1, to deploy an air bag of a car. The apparatus prevents an erroneous deployment of the air bag when the car is driving along a rough road. The apparatus employs two deceleration thresholds for a signal from the acceleration sensor 1. The apparatus has a signal integrator 3 that integrates an area of the signal defined by the thresholds as well as an acceleration area of the same signal. The apparatus has a determination unit 4 that determines a collision if an integral provided by the signal integrator 3 is above a value corresponding to an OFF collision that requires no deployment of the air bag.

Abstract: A dielectric detecting system comprises: an earth electrode; a sensor electrode opposed to the earth electrode for constituting a first condenser therebetween whose electric capacitance varies in dependence on an existence of the dielectric; a medium electrode positioned between the earth electrode and the sensor electrode for constituting a second condenser between the medium electrode and the earth electrode and a third condenser between the medium electrode and the sensor electrode in such a manner that one of an electric capacitance of the second condenser and an electric capacitance of the third condenser serves for detecting an other dielectric; and an operational amplifier for equalizing electric potential of the medium electrode to that of the sensor electrode.
