  • Patent number: 6054010
Abstract: A method of making a cell electrode of a stripe rectangle shape having at least one electrode depolarizing mix layer on a current collector. A thickness of one end portion of the electrode depolarizing mix layer is thicker than an average thickness of the electrode depolarizing mix layer by 2 to 25%. The method comprises sequentially bond adhesive tape pieces to a strip conductive sheet, coating on electrode depolarizing mix solution on the surface of the stripe conductive sheet and peeling off the adhesive tape piece.

  • Patent number: 5112651
Abstract: A method of forming a silver image receiving element in diffusion transfer photography by hydrolyzing a surface of an alkali-impermeable polymer layer on a continuous running web so as to convert the polymer to an alkali-permeable polymer. The method includes the steps of first applying a liquid mixture of a hydrolyzing agent and a softening agent to the surface of the alkali-impermeable polymer layer, evaporating the softening agent in the liquid mixture by blowing air on the surface to form a concentrated layer of the hydrolyzing agent; and thereafter accelerating the occurrence of hydrolysis by blowing air on the surface so as to initiate hydrolysis reaction of the surface to as to convert the alkali-impermeable polymer layer to an alkali-permeable polymer layer. The temperature of the air which is blown on the surface is in the range of 50.degree. to 120.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 4853262
Abstract: A cover film for use in microscopy which has an excellent adhesion with a slide glass and does not cause blocking during storage is obtained by coating a solution of a polymer adhesive having a glass transition temperature of at least 50.degree. C. in an organic solvent on a transparent substrate and evaporating the organic solvent.

  • Patent number: 4436491
Abstract: In a diaphragm type pump, a minute amount of the operating fluid is supplied instantaneously from an oil reservoir to an operating chamber at the final stage of the suction stroke in a main cylinder, and an excessive amount of the operating fluid and/or bubbles are discharged into the oil reservoir in the delivery stroke in the main cylinder. The minute amount of the operating fluid is within the range of 0.1 to 2% of the whole volume of displacement of diaphragm.

  • Patent number: 4292349
Abstract: Apparatus and method for applying a high volatility liquid to a moving web to form a coating on the web. The coating liquid is applied to the web through an extrusion-type or slide-type hopper covered by a hood which collects evaporated gas from the applied solvent at a region at which a solid-, liquid-, and gas-phase interface of the coating liquid is formed. The collected gas is utilized to suppress further gas evaporation from the three-phase interface thereby preventing the formation of stripe-like defects due to undesirable solidification of the forming liquid.
