Patent number: 6220341Abstract: An air conditioning system comprises a heat source side machine, a plurality of user side machines more than half of which are disposed below the heat source side machine, and liquid phase and gas phase pipes connecting the heat source side machine with the user side machines to form a closed circuit. A phase-changeable fluid included in the closed circuit circulates by utilizing its own specific gravity difference between the liquid and gas phases, so that each of the user side machines can perform cooling and heating operations. The liquid phase pipe and the gas phase pipe can communicate with each other via a gas bypass circuit and/or a liquid bypass circuit including a open-close valve and liquid level detection means, so that bubbles or condensed liquid generated in the closed circuit can be exhausted quickly.Type: GrantFiled: November 18, 1998Date of Patent: April 24, 2001Assignee: Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Masashi Izumi, Nobuhiro Idei, Akira Hatakeyama, Toshio Kubo, Mamoru Kubo

Patent number: 6173762Abstract: A heat exchanger tube for a falling film evaporator has fins provided on the outer periphery of the tube body and extending in a direction transverse or in oblique to the axial direction of the tube. The fins have heights in a range of 0.2 to 0.8 mm. The fins are arranged in a density to have 905 to 1102 in number of fins per 1 m in the axial direction. Grooves formed in the tip end of the fins and extending substantially along the fins, the mutually opposing inner peripheral wall surface of the groove defining an angle within a range of 70° to 150°. Cut-outs formed in the tip end of the fins, the cut-outs being provided at a pitch in a range of 0.5 to 1.0 mm. With this construction, the heat exchanger tube for the falling film evaporator which exhibits a high refrigerant wetting and spreading ability as well as large surface area for providing remarkably improved heat transmission performance.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 1994Date of Patent: January 16, 2001Assignees: Kabushiki Kaisha Kobe Seiko Sho, Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Seiji Ishida, Tomio Higo, Tetsuo Uchida, Masahiro Furukawa, Masashi Izumi, Kazuhiro Yoshii

Patent number: 5966954Abstract: An air conditioning system comprises a heat source side unit adapted to condense and supply a fluid which can change a phase between a gas phase and a liquid phase and a plurality of user side units entirely or mostly disposed below the heat source side unit in terms of number and connected to said heat source side unit by piping so as to establish a circulation of the fluid supplied from said heat source side unit passing through said heat source side unit and said user side units by utilizing the difference in specific gravity between the liquid phase and the gas phase of said liquid so that it can provide a cooling/heating effect regardless of the floors where the user side units are installed and the power consumption rate of the system can be minimized.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 1997Date of Patent: October 19, 1999Assignee: Sanyo Electronic Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hidetoshi Arima, Nobuhiro Idei, Masashi Izumi, Akira Hatakeyama, Hiroyuki Takada

Patent number: 5924480Abstract: An air conditioning system comprises a heat source side machine such as an absorption type refrigerator, a plurality of user side machines more than half of which are disposed below the heat source side machine, and liquid phase and gas phase pipes connecting the heat source side machine with the user side machines to form a closed circuit. A phase-changeable fluid circulates between the heat source side machine and the user side machines by utilizing its own specific gravity difference between the liquid and gas phases and a driving force of an electric pump provided to the liquid phase pipe, so that each of the user side machines can perform cooling operation. A receiver tank is provided to the inlet side of the electric pump, and an upper portion of the receiver tank is connected to the gas phase pipe by a pressure-equalizing pipe so as to improve a start characteristic of the cooling operation.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 1998Date of Patent: July 20, 1999Assignee: Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hidetoshi Arima, Nobuhiro Idei, Mamoru Kubo, Masashi Izumi

Patent number: 5224352Abstract: A control device for an absorption refrigeration machine in which an evaporator, an absorber, an absorption liquid pump, a generator and a condenser, etc. are connected to form a refrigeration cycle. A heating amount of the generator is controlled on the basis of external conditions or internal conditions. The device includes a detection device for detecting a plurality of change amounts representative of the external conditions or internal conditions. A memory device stores fuzzy rules and membership functions between the change amounts and a rotational speed of the absorption liquid pump. An arithmetic unit carries out fuzzy logical calculations based on the change amounts and the fuzzy rules and membership functions to calculate the rotational speed of the absorption liquid pump. A control device inputs an output of the arithmetic unit to control the rotational speed of the absorption liquid pump.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1991Date of Patent: July 6, 1993Assignee: Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hidetoshi Arima, Masahiro Furukawa, Kazuyasu Iramina, Takeshi Okumura, Masashi Izumi, Tomoyuki Murayama
