  • Publication number: 20140313280
Abstract: A video-phone device which transmits and receives sharable data to and from video-phones belonging to other parties is provided with a communication control means which, upon receiving a reception request or a transmission request for shareable data, assesses whether or not the reception request or the transmission request satisfies predetermined conditions, specifically, whether or not the other party has been stored in a recoding unit as a party to which transmission/reception of sharable data is permitted, and receives sharable data from the other party or transmits sharable data to the other party only when the conditions are satisfied. Thus the video-phone can automatically permit only reception of sharable data from trusted parties on the other end of a communication line, or transmission of sharable data to trusted parties on the other end of a communication line.

  • Patent number: 7899447
Abstract: In a telephone having a presence function, it is possible to easily register a presence state. The telephone includes: presence detection means for detecting a presence state of a user; a presence state storage unit for storing the presence state detected by the presence detection means; and control means having a presence modification function for modifying the presence information stored in the presence state storage unit according to the user presence state detected by the presence detection means. When the presence detection means has detected a presence of a user, the control means modifies the presence information stored in the presence state storage unit to presence information indicating a presence. When the presence detection means has detected an absence of the user, the control means modifies the presence information stored in the presence state storage unit to presence information indicating an absence.

  • Publication number: 20070195749
Abstract: Provided is a wireless IP telephone set that, even when packet loss frequently occurs during a telephone call, keeps deterioration in audio quality to a minimum, permitting the telephone call to be continued without being interrupted. The wireless IP telephone set has a plurality of codecs. In a case where audio packet loss exceeds a predetermined value during a telephone call, switching to a lower bitrate codec is performed in different stages. In a case where there is no lower bitrate codec, a transfer request to a previously set transfer destination is transmitted.

  • Patent number: 6133905
Abstract: An input apparatus is capable of recognizing an order of selection of a plurality of options displayed in a display region. The input apparatus includes a display unit having the display region with a predetermined coordinate system set thereto, an operating unit including a select key assigned to a direction parallel to one reference axis set in the display region, and a display control unit. The display control unit first causes a predetermined number of options to be displayed in the display region in such an arrangement that predetermined reference points within the options do not have overlapping coordinates in the direction parallel to the reference axis, and that the options form a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns. Then, the display control unit selects one of the options. When the select key of the operating unit is operated by a user, the one option is changed according to the order of selection in response to the key operation.
